Novotel Paris Gare De Lyon

Reception staff were very welcoming. Great value for it's amenities and proximity to the train station. We liked that it had a pool even though we were unable to use it due to time constraints. Some of the restaurant staff were not as courteous as they could have been. We were essentially ignored and not greeted when we first came to the restaurant.

Location is everything ! Impecable connection to everywhere. Services are functional. Be aware the the room eventhough is suitable for a family of four, it is small. Be well organized with your luggage. TV has no channels other than in french. Considering the category and amount of tourists it receives, this might be better.

It’s closeness to the Gare de Lyon station Expensive and limited benefits. One thing to note is that the road connecting the hotel to the station is quite deserted in the evening. Although I didn’t face any issues, it can feel isolated, particularly for solo travelers returning after dark.

Clean, complete, updated. Best location near Gare and metro access. Rooms spacious & has a great pool & gym.

The staff were particularly helpful. The room prepared by Kheffi was immaculate. The drain in the sink was blocked and this should be tested regularly.

I asked for extra blanket every day and didn't get it

The location was good , room sizes were good did Paris standards . Enjoyed breakfast too .

The staff was friendly & the proximity with the train station. The indication in booking about the distance from the train station is misleading.

The pool was nice as I am a lap swimmer. Also, my room was always cleaned very nicely. Nothing We really enjoyed our stay.

The bathroom is only semi opaque and you can hear people in the shower or toilet much too well from the bed area, some more privacy is warranted. Also if someone needs a light at night for the toilet, the entire room is filled with light. We had a few warm days and the room was very hot - the hotel hadn’t enabled the air conditioning system yet (though the weather was exactly as hot as the forecast predicted). I also didn’t like that the hotel messaged me to say that reviews lower than 9 cause their team to be penalized. This is a very poor management practice and/or a manipulative attempt by the staff. I expect these types of messages to come from third world vendors on Aliexpress, not from a reputable chain hotel in the heart of Paris, which should be encouraging guests to provide their honest and constructive feedback. Disappointing.

Excellent location, next to Gare de Lyon metro station. It has dedicated parking (though this was not cheap at 35 euros/day). Clean. The room was very warm as they turned the A/C off. Made the nights uncomfortable. Small (narrow) swimming pool - pictures are misleading.

The hotel is conveniently located just opposite the metro station, making it an excellent place to stay. The staff are incredibly friendly, and we truly appreciated the complimentary souvenir we received at check-in - thank you for that thoughtful gesture. Everything about the stay was perfect.
