The property is walking distance from tourist attractions like the Louvre. We were there during the heatwave. People who are sensitive to heat and noise should note that the hotel’s fans are insufficient in summer. In order to stay cooler at night, we had to open the windows. Since the hotel is located in a busy, central area - this means we were exposed to loud noise at all hours of the night — people yelling, partying, police sirens etc — and did not have good sleep. We had to wear ear plugs. In addition, the staff do not clean the rooms daily and when we asked for more clean sheets, the staff walked into the apartment while we were sleeping—a breach of privacy (and woke us up). Since we rely on reviews to arrange our travels, we were surprised to not have found more negative or balanced reviews about this hotel. We just learned our friends who had another room while we were there also submitted a review and were contacted by the Casanova hotel, requesting they take down their review and in return be compensated €80…. This prompted us to leave a review. It’s important for potential customers to be aware of the tradeoffs of a hotel before booking—and the different experiences of different customers. We find it unethical for Casanova to contact people who had an unpleasant stay and attempt to bribe them to take down unflattering reviews, as this does not give a full picture to other potential customers.

The room was adequate. The location was close to the Tulleries and we could walk to the center of the city. When we arrived, we punched the code, but couldn't get in. We waited and tried again. Finally. someone else arrived and let us in. Turns out you had to push the door very hard to get it to open. The elevator was super small--only two people and their suitcases could fit. It was also very slow and clunky. We landed during the hottest week on record. At one point, the temperature was 39.8C or 102F. There was only one fan, no AC, and so we had to leave the window open during the night, but there was a ton of sound coming in from the street and earplugs weren't very helpful. They don't clear your room and only give you new sheets and/or towels if you ask. They were old and worn, but clean. I would give this place a 2/5 review.

Except for the missing toilet paper, the building was extremely hot at night; the provided fan wasn't enough to keep us cool. As for the location , by nighttime ,around 12 am, everything was closed and there was nobody around but some intoxicated people, a thing that surprised us as the building is literally at the center of Paris. Therefore we, 2 girls did not feel safe walking around.

The property is hard to find, does not have ventilation or air flow but is nicely renovated. If we had stayed at another time of year, it likely would’ve been fine. This is not a conventional hotel—no front desk or staff. Unfortunately it was too late when we got in to ask for other accommodations but the staff should be aware it is unsafe to stay in room 1 in extreme heat. If possible, the staff should try to be proactive about alternative arrangements in these situations. There was no ventilation or air movement throughout the property. However, the night we stayed was the hottest on record in France and was likely unsafe to remain inside the property. Even though we’re were fans, it was simply too hot and the hot air was trapped inside with tqo small windows. This apartment should not be rented out in the heat. We had to sit outside from 2-4 am to cool down bc the apartment was too warm.

The location was very good, close to the Louvre gardens, Place Vendome, excellent reasonably priced restaurants. Apartment 53 was NOT an apartment! It was a small room with a bed on each side under the eaves on the 5th floor reached by 2 flights of stairs as the elevator stopped at the 4th floor. As it is in the roof of the building and there was a heat wave it was unbearable. There was a small fan in the ceiling at each end. The room was narrow with a bed and window at each end and a small bathroom and kitchen sink and hotplate between (no space to prepare food) and one could stand upright in only one line across its width. One had to crawl under the slanting ceiling to get into bed. Between the 2 beds (eaves) were a small bathroom and a cupboard with a sink and hotplate--no space to prepare food.

This facility is very comfortable even if it’s small you have everything you need. We had a no contact process to access the room. Explanations were very well prepared easy to understand and responded quickly. Nice kitchenette but very basic or limited to the most essential. I would definitely recommend this place to stay for a couple. Nothing very special, though I would just say that a change of towels after two nights would have been nice as our towels were fairly wet all the time

The location No air conditioner and not really clean

I loved the location and the staff. I didn’t love that they weren’t up front in the fact they didn’t have a check in desk and sent me the check in instructions late. Also the room was much smaller than it looked in the pictures and it was very hot with no way to cool it in the summer. The bathroom was also exceptionally small with me bumping into things if I moved slightly.

Lovely window with the quintessential ‘Paris balcony’! It’s a very small room but just right for a solo traveler. Great location.

Location It smelled like mold and mildew which aggravated my allergies. Even with windows opened all night you could smell it. We had to leave and asked for a refund and have not received its. We only stayed one night out of the five we reserved. It was a big disappointment and and made me sick.

Perfect central safe location. Great view. Well equipped room. Safe building. Elevator was helpful since I was on the top floor. Clean room & bathroom. High ceiling & great view. Remote check-in & out was easy. Communication with management was easy. I would stay at location again. Room & lobby & elevator floor could use some minor touch-ups. Nicer/newer towels & sheets would be appreciated. Everything was clean & safe & I would definitely stay again.

Excellent location. 5-10min walking for Bus or Metro, 15min from Louvre. It was quite Hot. There is no A/C, only a fan that doesn’t refresh almost anything.
