Serenity House Pemberton

When you walk up to the gate you feel like you have entered cubby in the beautifully tamed yet natural tussle of the garden which hugs the beautiful verandah of the cottage. It screamed charm from that instant. Inside the methodical thought is evident throughout the house with perfect compliments of age appropriate vintage and modern comfort. My husband and I felt our tension melt and the drive forgotten instantly! Generous supplies of towels which I feel I must mention, so much so my son felt he was required to use every one of them (sorry Cat!). Brilliant diamond, you can feel the heart and soul of Jon and Cat.

Just loved the coziness of the cottage which carries a historic legacy. Takes you back in time. The spa treatment options were really good. Honestly nothing was an issue for us during our stay.

We had to report our arrival time as the owners live in the premise. It is a B&B. Althpugh it was described as having the whole place to ourselves, not all rooms will be unlocked & extra charges will be collected. The owner, Cat welcomed us upon our arrival & showed us around. There is an ensuite queen bedroom on the ground floor. There are 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds on the second floor with a common bathroom. There is a locked queen bedroom which we did not want to pay for. There is only 1 bath upstairs. Owner Cat baked us some fresh loaves of bread & muffins which we brought downstairs to the dining table for breakfast. There is no table upstairs for dining. There is, however, no sink on the ground floor except fpr the one in the bedroom, which is situated down a long corridor behind the staircase. Serenity has a homely feel with a very nice host; however, with 6 of us, & the dining & sink arrangement, we found it a little inconvenient. Inconvenience of wash area/sink facility. Area was remote & dark. It is npt an area where you can take a walk after dinner. When we were there, the recommended restaurant had a private function & could not serve us. Went to a nearby pub where a lone burger was $19. Any additional fries or a single egg would be an additional $4.50.

A quiet retreat at the end of the road. Hosts were quite accommodating and took great care of us. It was like staying in the home of a good friend. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.

The hosts were very friendly and professional, and accommodating with our requests. Abundant breakfasts, abundant linen/towels/blankets. Very clean house & bathrooms. Great wood fired heater for the cold nights. All rooms had Air Conditioning. Good easy/safe parking for 3+ cars. Great location. Two first world short comings : needs a third bathroom, and a sink in the upstairs kitchenette.

The breakfast was awesome. Continental breakfast included homemade muesli, flavoured yoghurt, homemade plum cupcakes and probably the best strawberries (local produce) I've ever had. The house is very cozy and well equipped with amenities. We enjoyed our time and will be back again.

Nothing much - Having a small kitchen would have been good (looking forward to the new cottage).

The Serenity House is in a very lovely location in Pemberton and immediately gives you the feeling of being close the nature in a very lovely cosy house. The feeling of being on leave to relax comes very quickly, also the interior being vintage and lovely organized makes it something special. The host Cat+Jon are being great at checking, and providing guidance on the local restaurants, potential routes, and trips to the surroundings. The breakfast is amazing everything is freshly prepared, has good variety, and most importantly delicious. It’s a good spot to spend some nights at Serenity’s house and check out the area, down south! Thanks again for a great time!

Cat & Jon were amazing hosts. It was a beautiful house with great facilities and closer to all the amenities and tourist attractions. Breakfast was really good and the serenity spa treatment was very impressive. The hosts took great care of everything and made us feel special and our stay was quite memorable. Highly recommend this place.
