The staff were so hospitable and kind.

Overall I am not happy here.There are a lot of hotels around Penang which are 10 times better than this..The toilet pipe is broken,loud noise ,no coffee or food, bedsheets are dirty.

I like the location; it's very near to a few eateries (just walking distance). They provide free parking space too so it is very convenient, knowing how hard it is to find side parking space in Georgetown. The staff who handled our check in and check out process was very polite, kind, and helpful. Only one think that I wasn't very satisfied. The room was not spacious and soundproof. But we were fine with that.

I had a pleasant stay at Chulia Heritage Hotel Penang. The staff, especially Natasya, provided excellent service and was very helpful throughout my stay. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and fast. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but it was manageable during my stay. The hotel is located in a very strategic area, making it easy to reach nearby attractions around George Town. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with friendly service and a great location. Would definitely recommend! so far everything was good

Location nearby and walking distance can reach Bed noisy when turn over body

Parking just in front of the hotel (limited on-site spaces ) which is very convenient. Old fixtures with poor/low water pressure.

Couldn't get an early check-in (but that's fine since it's not guaranteed), common bathroom was very small so hard to change in before I checked in. Bathroom for Petite Double Room was smaller than expected (basically the showerhead is right on top of the toilet + sink, so everything will get wet). Also wasn't clear that a RM100 deposit was required until shortly before checking in. All reasonable for the price but just be prepared that it's a 3-star hotel at the end of the day.

It was set back from the street so it was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the ac worked very well. The location was about a 15 min walk to Armenia street and 25 to chew jetty. Lots of restaurants and food stalls nearby the hotel. It also near many bars but could not hear them from hotel. The bathroom is a bit small and all of the light switches are by the door which means going to door to turn in bathroom light.

We had a wonderful stay at Chulia Heritage Hotel in Penang and are truly grateful for the kindness and hospitality of the staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit. The location is excellent—perfectly situated for exploring Penang’s historic streets, local food spots, and nearby attractions, all within easy walking distance. It made our trip so convenient and enjoyable. The hotel was also exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well cared for, which made our stay especially relaxing. Thank you to everyone at Chulia Heritage Hotel for making our visit such a pleasant experience. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Penang. Nothing

The charging ports were quite inconvenient, especially in the second-best room. There was only one in that room and it's very far from the bed lol. However, i also stayed in the better rooms and i found the better rooms to be very lovely and the charging ports very convenient.

The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere. We had the standard room and it is not very big , but everything is clean and functional. For the price, this is excellent value. The staff is friendly. We appreciated having a guardian at the parking since we had our own moto parked. Nothing

Location is in the heart of Georgetown , easy access to tourist attractions and a lot of places to have street food.

Considering the average price of around €30 per night, the stay was good value for money. The location is definitely the strongest point – right in the center of the old town, with most places of interest reachable within 10–15 minutes on foot. The hotel was generally clean, and for a short stay of three nights it was perfectly functional. Overall, it did the job for a budget-friendly stay in Penang. Since the hotel is on one floor and all rooms face the reception area inside the main lobby, it can sometimes get a bit noisy, especially at night. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it’s something to keep in mind. Also, I would personally only recommend it at this price point – I wouldn’t consider it if the rate were significantly higher than €30 per night.

Very small room

Staff was very helpful and friendly. It is close by to most of the shops, bars. walking distance. Rooms were clean. I had a very good experince. The first room that was given, had some paint smell and the staff immediately changed the room for me. Very comfortable stay. The kettle is placed at the side table. it would be better if they gave a small area for it. They dont have a hand shower only rain shower. a bit difficult if you dont want to get your hair wet.

Very good location as the hotel is in the middle of the city. Easy access to famous Penang street foods, tourist spots in the city, souvenir shops, restaurants, etc. We can just walk anywhere within the city. Very friendly hotel staff - both security staff and reception team. Need to take special care when using the bathroom as the floor is rather slippery. Same feedback for both rooms (we booked 2 rooms for this trip).

The room is very small with one side of the bed pushed against the wall. The bathroom has no room for shower as the shower head is directly above the toilet seat. We can't even hang a towel in the bathroom as it will be all wet. Strange hotel policy with only one room card is provided. The room is super hot as it's west facing and we can't leave the aircon on as the room automatically turns the air con off once you leave the room.

The location is great, it’s just off the main road so you can’t hear cars or noise. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. The bathroom was slightly small but it didn’t bother us.
