I had a great stay at Bank House. Comfy accommodation and lovely hosts, I’ll certainly be back if I’m in the area again!

The room was absolutely lovely—so cozy, peaceful, and spotless. I had a beautiful view of the garden, which made it feel even more special. The property itself was stunning, and every detail felt so thoughtfully put together. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating—genuinely warm people who went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was fantastic, with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful options. I truly loved my stay and would absolutely come back.

The owners were incredibly warm and hospitable, the breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the rooms were both luxurious and exceptionally clean. It felt like a home away from home Nothing in particular,,, everything exceeded expectations.

Very friendly and informative proprietors. Told us about things to do around town, places to eat, things to see. Had lots of books about the area in the sitting room. Very nice. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Lovely garden. Plenty of on-street parking. Nothing to report here.

The lady who owns the property was very attentive. She catered really well for my gluten intolerance. Bed was amazingly comfortable, Can’t say there was anything I disliked and would certainly stay again.

Lovely hosts and the rooms were really nice

The hosts were lovely and went out of their way to help me with my 2 year old boy. We really enjoyed the room and the breakfast. Very comfortable bed and thoroughly enjoyed the bonus of a hot water bottle.

Received a really warm welcome from Sarah. The house is beautiful and my bedroom was decorated really nicely. The bed was super comfortable. Great hot breakfast the next day with strong tea and a lovely view of the garden. It was a little chilly but there was a frost the next day!

Lovely breakfast spot on. Lovely hosts couldn’t have done enough for me. They also did their best when I opened an old wound (completely my fault) while showering. Also provide warm water for my travelling flask. Think the b and b prides itself on the old style hospitality.. certainly to my taste. I felt the room was just a little musty… was used as single room, so maybe needed aired. Did not detract from comfortable stay and would stay there again. Maybe needs a bit of updating decor wise but pleasant enough . Minor gripe wall mounted telly too small at the distance from the bed.

The location was excellent, just a short 5 minute walk into Penrith town centre. If you're after scenary and landscapes, there are some great walks on offer in the lake district (which is on your doorstep) and the Yorkshire Dales are nearby, too. The room was gorgeous, ver comfortable and the breakfast options were thorough and delicious! The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit weak. No complaints about anything else, though.

I had such a lovely stay. Felt like a home from home. The hosts were lovely and helped me with all my needs they even helped me reverse park up the hill, which I am so grateful for. Thank you for the most perfect stay and an amazing breakfast. The town is only 15 min walk away. Which isn’t too bad. The b&b is located on a hill but I didn’t mind it. Lovely cosy place to stay with lovely hosts. The only thing was the hill as not good at parking uphill but the host very kindly helped me with that which was much appreciated. Thank you.

I was welcomed like an old friend and shown to my beautifully furnished room. I love old furniture and my room was absolutely lovely. I stay away from home quite a lot with work and this was probably the most comfortable bed I've stayed in anywhere. Not only was the bed comfortable but the quilt was perfect and the sheets were crisp and lovely. Breakfast on the lovely old dining room was superb. Scrambled egg and salmon perfectly cooked, sitting atop lovely local bread, nicely toasted. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I'll be back with my wife.
