Chiverton House

It was a good location to visit the town of Penzance and that part of Cornwall - St Michael’s Mount, Mousehole and St Ives Very small room and teeny bathroom. Hard to manage luggage

This is a lovely property on a quiet street, 5 minute walk from the seafront. The family room was quite large and included a nice sitting area in the bay window. The owners are very friendly & we enjoyed chatting with them while waiting for our taxi! We will definitely be back.

The location is great, just round the corner from the sea front, only a short leafy walk into the centre of town. We took a day trip to the Isles of Scilly, Chiverton House is a short walk to the harbour along the sea front, and not far from the train station. The staff were super helpful and friendly. There was a small fridge in the room as well as the complimentary tea and coffee. There's no good view but the road is quiet and nice. The shower was a bit small but not bad.

We received a free room upgrade because the place was not fully occupied which was very nice, so we stayed in a room with a double bed and a single bed, facing the street. The room size was good, the double bed was comfortable. The price is very reasonable. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location is great. We were able to walk anywhere in Penzance within approximately 20 minutes. Most restaurants were less than a 12-minute walk. The bathroom was small. Parking is a challenge. The day we arrived, we were very fortunate to find a parking space very close to the guest house. The second evening (around 5:00 p.m.) we had to park at the end of the street by the AFC football field. However, I get the feeling that, compared to other locations in Penzance, the parking here is not that bad. I'm sure parking only gets more challenging in the summer.

Everything, literally everything- like the location, the classy ambience, the space with how luxuriously the room is arranged and the engagement of the lovely couple who runs it!!! 10/10 !! Easily exceeded my expectations and definitely retuning to the same place next time I visit Penzance !!

Comfortable bed and luxurious towels provided. Room felt cosy. Difficult to find parking.

I would definitely come back.

Exceptional

Attractive road, very clean and comfortable room. Quiet, great location. Friendly hosts. Only one thing: I prefer 100% cotton sheets. Poly cotton makes me too hot. This might have been exacerbated because I had a bad cold, so had difficulty sleeping the first night (I am aware that cotton is the most polluting crop in the world, but I am used to it).

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Comfortable room and very clean. Also nice and warm when the evenings were chilly. I would have liked a fridge for my breakfast supplies but otherwise excellent. Good location for exploring not far from the quay and both bus and railway stations. I liked the freedom to come and go as I liked. Everything else nearby A great place to stay..

Everything There was nothing to dislike

My en-suite bedroom was comfortable and had everything I needed. I arrived in Penzance after midnight and was very grateful to Alan and Sally for making alternative check-in arrangements.

I enjoyed a lovely smoked kipper breakfast.

Great place plus location friendly helpful owners.., although we found it to be a little expensive for what it was and the time of year..
