Lovely historic inn. Friendly staff, beautiful dining terrace, lovely grounds and access to Lake Michigan swimming beach

All around wonderful

The 1911 restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday so we only ate there once. They didn’t seem to have a breakfast anymore and the restaurant was a little overpriced. There was a nice front and back porch to sit on and meet other travelers. Good place to try if you like historical old buildings.

Very quaint place, pretty and old fashioned decorating. Was disappointed as there was not enough soap in the room, no cups and the Wi-fi was terrible.
-
This is a quaint historic hotel. Breakfast was good, with quiche and an assortment of pastries, yogurt, and overnight oats. Coffee, tea, and water always available in the lobby is a plus.

I had the smallest room and left a lot to be desired. I felt the room was neglected and needed some improvements. TV was worthless. Nice breakfast offered.

A fun hotel with a long history. The staff was helpful and considerate. But the stay could have been better. It should be expected, of course, that an old hotel would have quirky features—thin walls, for example. But the breakfast was mediocre, to say the least, especially considering the fact that the hotel has a full kitchen. Another problem was a super slow Internet connection.
-
Rooms are small and outdated, no elevators so if your on the 2 nd or 3rd floor pack light due to lots of stairs, best part of hotel is lounging on front porch or back porch
-
Such a beautiful place. The history behind it and just the overall place was so beautiful.
-
It isn’t handicap friendly. Very difficult or impossible to navigate for an elderly person using a walker.
-
Great weekend stay at the Terrace.

if you don’t want to watch tv you’re fine. tvs are awful to operate

The staff is wonderful -- nice and responsive. Te location is great, the rooms are nice. The surrounding area is very peaceful, and it is a terrific place to relax. Vintage. They also have access to a small, private beach. In this day and age, you can't have unreliable Internet. Not just for a computer, but the Internet isn't even reliable enough for the TV to work. Housekeeping was so-so: light bulb out, bed so-so

I liked the vibe of the Inn. It is definitely stepping back in time. The rooms are not modern but have charm. Parking is on the street, but I never had to park too far away. The neighborhood is very peaceful. Coffee was always available in the lobby in the morning, and it was really good. Wi-Fi was horrible and I didn't have cell service in the room. This made for a frustrating stay as I tried to plan the next day.

Wi-Fi and TV did not work. No hair dryer in the room. Window box air conditioning was just ok. Parking was on a crowded street. Breakfast was fine.
-
Beautiful fun, antique hotel with all the amenities lovely staff and rooms and the air conditioning was exceptional
-
The historic aspect was interesting and staff super personable! Bed felt like it was caving in, bathroom super tiny, rooms not updated.
-
Ambience. My entree for dinner had a tough and too small piece of pork in it. As much as we paid for dinner it should have been top notch.

Beautiful location

Unfortunately, both my husband and I found the bed extremely uncomfortable and we didn’t sleep well. It may be a preference thing, or just not what we were used to, but have never had an experience like that at any other place. Maybe a different room next time might be better?
