Very clean property and convenient to Petoskey attractions.

A lovely hotel but the front desk general manager was rude beyond words. I will never go back. What a pity.

Location is good but Disappointed in this hotel,yes older and somewhat dated. Definitely not fancy, Booked a Balcony room , was a corner that 2 people couldn’t sit there comfortably,so pointless to have booked it. sink area outside bathroom needs towel bars or hooks as well inside tub area no place to put your clothes,towels . Sink drain was slow to drain, and not enough hot water by 10 am to get ready for your day, I guess you have to get up at the crack of dawn , Breakfast needed attention as employees stood around talking when things needed attending as supplies ran out and had to ask for things as simple as napkins and plastic ware. Do better

My husband and I have stayed at Apple Tree several times and found it to be a great place to stay. The view is incredible from the 4th floor.

The hotel was at best mediocre. The breakfast sucked . Wasn’t much to choose from . We had to go off site for a decent breakfast!. The only thing they offered was eggs, sausage bacon and biscuits and gravy. The eggs were cold , no taste to them . It definitely wasn’t worth the price we paid !! I seriously doubt we visit potoskey again ! Very disappointed

Good breakfast, clean room, location, view of lake from balcony.

Very worn down, dirty hotel, stained carpets, broken things in the room. We bought blankets at the store to use and slept on top of the sheets. We will never book here again or suggest it to anyone. We went off of the high ratings and we are wondering about the validity of these ratings. There are much nicer places to stay… like even sleeping in your own car.

Breakfast was great only thing was the balcony was on the first floor, which was considered the second floor which made no sense where we could touch the grass. A different room may have been nicer

Everything was very good.

Clean hotel. Staff friendly. Larger room than normal standard room. Beds comfortable. Air conditioner seemed newer and worked well. Only thing we didn’t like was balcony light stays on all night and it still lets in light into room.

Our room said private hot tub and it did not have one.

Love that all the rooms have a beautiful view of the Bay! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was all very friendly. Breakfast was awesome!! No complaints. We have stayed here a few times before and will probably again.

Great location

The room was clean, but in need of repair. The light fixtures were broken and the plates were coming off the walls, the bathroom fan was so loud it sounded like a jet engine, the faucet sprayed water everywhere, and the linens were very thin and old. The grounds outside not kept up nice at all. We got coffee and water in the morning before we left for a day of activities. The very strong chemical smell from the indoor pool made me not want to eat there. I don’t think I would stay there again. It was not worth the high price we paid for the rooms.

The pool was our favorite feature of the property! Clean, warm, and large enough for the kids to play!

The stay at the Apple Tree Inn was OK. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine -- typical hotel breakfast -- the eating area is small, though. Offer of bottled water is nice. Location is good with a nice view of the bay. My issues were with the bathroom. One sink only. Towels were thin. The bathtub caulk (outside the tub by the floor), was old and cracked. The shower water control fixture was rusty. It just felt tired.

The bathroom was in disrepair.

Our room needs major update and repair. The shower water barely came out and went from freezing to sizzling. Lights didn't work and the fan in the bathroom screeched loudly

Originally booked three rooms. Had to cancel one. Called hotel directly to make certain that the other room was adjacent to mine and had a balcony. Was confirmed 2 days prior to my trip there by their staff that they would be happy to accommodate that request. Upon arrival, we were not together, and one room did not have a balcony which was an important feature for us. Front desk excuse was the party was a new representative who made a mistake. Housekeeping was great. The room was kept clean. Had a running toilet for 2 days. Hotel is slightly outdated but the pool was wonderful and heated. Sauna was great. Also both were very clean. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. Traveled with three others and we all had a great time here! Great location.
