Hotel is lovely. Immaculately clean and the decor is thoughtful and beautiful. Very comfortable and I felt very safe as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at The Guild House. We chose a first-floor, street-facing room, which was beautifully appointed with charming wood details, fireplace tilework, and a unique collection of books to browse. The shower was truly fantastic.. possibly the best water pressure I’ve ever experienced! The staff was responsive and easily accessible by text, and the thoughtful welcome treats were the perfect touch. A great stay for a couple who appreciates Philadelphia history & architecture. :-)

Wonderful ans special. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great size room either contemporary aesthetics while paying respects to the historic building. Great neighborhood with many dining options. Convenient parking next to the building. Subway access steps from the door.

I will say that the area was not the nicest. There were a lot of homeless people around and sleeping on the street just a few feet from the hotel. While it didn't feel "unsafe", I mention it so that anyone else is aware. We parked in a parking garage that was just a block away. It was pricey, but convenient.

Absolutely beautiful. Clean, well decorated, and great location!

Room was clean and tidy. Good communication and easy entry. Great styling in the room and loved the bathroom set up! Only real things to watch are the stairs (it was ok for us and there is a small dumb waiter) just think about it if you have oversized baggage, and the parking to drop passengers is not easy. Location is perfect to explore Philly!

The room itself was very nice and comfortable, but unfortunately the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. There was quite a bit of dust throughout the room, which triggered my allergies almost immediately. I ended up congested for the rest of the day and, since I didn’t have my allergy medication with me, I had to cancel my plans because I wasn’t feeling well. The floors also seemed a bit dirty and could use more attention during cleaning. Another downside was the amount of noise and echo in the hallways, which made it difficult to fully relax. Overall, the room had a lot of potential, but the dust and lack of upkeep made it hard for me to enjoy my stay. I hope the hotel improves its cleaning standards, as it could make a big difference for future guests.

Fun to stay in a building and room with history. Was a bit difficult to be on the fourth floor with no elevator. Would stay again but on a lower floor. Enjoyed the food choices near by. Parking was right next door.

Well located, beautifully appointed hotel. Comfortable bed, everything was super clean and getting in to the hotel itself was easy (there is no front desk — you just use a code to get into the hotel and to access your room). There is no public restroom so pre or post check in/out there is no place to use the facilites or change (which I wanted to do before flying but after spending a day in the 102 degree weather!). I changed hunched over in the luggage storage closet, with my son standing outside to run interference! Otherwise, communication via texting was very easy and I was able to get a later check out (but had an evening flight). Thank you! When I am next in Philadelphia I will return!

Great location

Nice hotel. There is no staff - they send you a code for the doors. All good.

Beautiful!
-
Nothing - honestly we loved the experience

I loved everything but my favorite thing about it was the bed. The quality of the bed linens and comfort was outstanding!

The hotel was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I appreciated the lounge and the closets to store luggage. I thought my room (Alice) was very spacious. I had a tiny problem getting a working code for the luggage closet, but luckily someone was available to open it for me.

Very responsive to to texts. Room was very comfortable

Great location. Beautiful historic building. Each room is unique. They have a dumbwaiter to transport luggage unfortunately it stops at the 3rd floor and our room was another 1 1/2 flights up steep stairs.
