Also, the hotel hallway was dirty and not maintained. Finally, we got an email the day of my reservation saying that Marriot no longer owned the Sonder and that our reservation was being cancelled.

Our experience
-
Beautiful accommodation with security of a hotel but design of an apartment
-
Center city steps from top restaurants bars and nightlife socials.
-
Basic needs met. Hotel promised to contact me about early check in once available but failed to do so. Found out myself. Generally comfortable. Carpet stained. Ceiling decrepit.
-
No contact was interring but it feel like an apartment more then a hotel

Room could’ve been a bit cleaner and there was a huge gap under the door
-
The fact there is no front desk staff is a little jarring at first, but everything could be accessed well enough online. We didn’t need anything replaced or cleaned so others may have a different experience. Lots of things going on out in the street for a festival, but the room was very quiet, could not hear much street noise at all. Fitted sheet in our room was a little ill-fitting, but a very minor inconvenience all things considered. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

It doesnt feel safe
-
Very clean, spacious, close to travel spots, a bit noisy at night over the weekend but understandable because of the location (gayborhood are) and thanks for preparing a couple of earplugs (was be able to have good night sleeps) 100% satisfied and would love to come back

Room was clean but had paint spatter on carpet. staff was non existant.

Stay was canceled 4 hours before check in and was unable to find me another place to stay. Luckily I was able to stay with a friend or else I would’ve been stranded.

It was easy to access the building and room, everything was secure and clean. We appreciated the size of the room, and the mini fridge as well - we were busy all day and it was great to have space for snacks and water. The location was fantastic - lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby, and tourist spots were easily accessed. SUPER appreciative of all the parking options nearby, including a lot across the street that we could see from the windows of the hotel. A great stay! Definitely would recommend and stay again.

Great price and better location…

Great accommodations. Very clean and spacious. Cool charm and character of the older building but updated nicely.
-
Everything was clean. The only thing was the door handle on the bathroom door fell off when we got there.
-
I would recommend this property if you’re staying for two nights or more. This property is accessible to many shopping and eating options. Also public transportation isn’t far away. Checking in and out of the facility was a breeze! I would stay here again in the future!

The Good: Location, location, location. Perfect place to be within walking distance to most of Center City. The Bad: Unlike most Sonders, which is usually a go-to brand for me, the room was only a small hotel room. No kitchenette other than a truly bad coffee maker (every cup contained grounds in it) and a mini fridge. The only microwave on the premises was in the "lounge" and everyone on the premises had to share it. If you stay, make sure it's only a short stay (weekend, long weekend, etc.) because there is no laundry facility on the premises. I was there for a 15 day visit to see family and friends, and was told there was a laundromat nearby (extra time and esxpense on the customer), but when I went to it, the door was chained and padlocked and the windows boarded up. The Ugly: NO CLEANING SERVICE (Unless you pay [a lot extra] for it). Not a deal-breaker for a short stay, but unacceptable for a half-month's stay like mine. To live in a room whose bathroom and toilet wasn't ever cleaned and whose room was never swept or vacuumed was both disgusting and unsanitary. Fresh sheets and towels were always available in the "lounge," so I always could change them myself. I do like the Sonder brand, but this one is the one bad apple in its basket from my experience with their properties.
