JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

The hotel was doing construction during our stay which required you to walk a long way to hotel lobby any time you came and went. It would have been nice to know that prior to booking and maybe them waving the self park fee during our stay to compensate.

Great staff, awesome amenities, if you don't mind walking its close to shopping and food. The restaurants in the hotel are amazing though. Pool areas and gym are wonderful. Loved our stay!

The facility and individual guest rooms were beautifully decorated. The bedding was luxurious. The staff were lovely and helpful, including housekeeping and bell staff...went out of their way to help Two primary issues: I arrived around 8:00 pm; it would have been helpful to have available more options for getting something to eat at that time. I DID NOT like that getting info/services in room required a certain level of comfort with technology. I worked for easily an hour to find a menu for in room service to no avail. And truly confounding: the QR code to access in room service is hidden on the phone UNDER the receiver. C'mon folks...that just doesn't make sense.

They kept trying to charge my credit card for different amounts yesterday. I prepay before I got there plus give them $300 hold on my credit card. The next day I started notice charges out of know where

Beautiful property, genuinely great amenities, and an excellent meal at Tia Carmen. Service was the gap. Our pool waiter was unfindable for an hour, and when I asked at the bar, the response was a laugh rather than help. Tia Carmen's food was the highlight of the trip but the service there was cold. The exceptions were real: the holiday coordinator who secured our reservation was excellent, several front desk staff were genuinely helpful, and the manager at the pool restaurant was instant in her offer to help (sharp contrast from the bar staff). Good stay overall, but the service does not match what I've experienced at JW CDMX, and it is a step below the Fairmont Princess.

We loved everything from the waterpark to the room to the restaurants on site. Can't recommend enough!

Waterslides were a blast with kids. Half Day mister tents were a fair price and an absolute must have if you have kids and it’s 118’ outside.

Many of the floors were slippery, including steps in main area, bathrooms in room and shower stalls. They forgot to clean our room and showed up at 5pm. Takes many many rings for guest services to answer phone. They were nice when answered. Perhaps they are low on staff in these areas?

One thing that really stood out was the exceptional service. We arrived before 11:00 a.m., even though check-in wasn’t until later in the afternoon, and the front desk was kind enough to have a room ready for us right away. After an early flight, that made such a difference and was greatly appreciated. We booked this resort specifically for AquaNights, and it did not disappoint. The pools and palm trees are beautifully lit in the evening, creating such a relaxing and magical atmosphere. The resort itself is beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient for everything we wanted to do. My only suggestion would be to cool the pool water a bit during the summer. It was around 113°F while we were there, so the pool water became very warm and wasn’t as refreshing as we had hoped. Overall, we had an amazing time and made wonderful birthday memories together. We would definitely stay here again!
