Hawa House Phuket Oldtown

The decor is pleasant! Pillows are nice. The AC is so loud I get woken up at night.

The location is indeed really strategic as it is located in the middle of the Old Phuket Town. The decorations are really nice as well and they also have a large balcony. I agree with the other reviews saying that this property is misleading, it is definitely not a hotel and more like an apartment above a shop. The self-inserted gate supports this even more and there was literally nobody looking after the accommodation. You have to do a self check-in (which is not supposed to exist in a hotel) and even though we have followed the instructions to do this correctly (the gate was really annoying to be opened), there was no key for the room we were assigned in and we had to call the staff, which came very lately. It was 8:00 PM and we were really tired, when the staff found the spare key and asked us to open the room, turns out the room was occupied and there were things of another guests over there. They clearly said we were assigned there when they messaged us on booking.com and they cannot even get the room correctly. The staff didn’t even speak English and asked us to communicate directly with the owner. The management of the hotel was so bad and it’s like they didn’t care about the guests.

Very good location in old town. Room was spacious, newer condition very clean and comfy bed. It was a very good value.

Bad place to stay

We were assigned a room which overlooked the Shell gas station. Though they provided good amenities, i.e. robe and toiletries, they did not provide a bottle of water for the room. I didn't need a robe and slippers on arrival, but water would have been nice.

The location is right in the heart of Old Town and the top floor room had a great balcony. Very close to the amazing night market, close to temples and surrounded by the Sino-Portuguese architecture. Really friendly staff, secure and clean. If you can get one of the top floor rooms do! Good breakfast at the coffee shop across the street. The shower is open to the rest of the bathroom and most of the floor gets wet as a result. During the day you can enter from the front through the clothing store where you checked in but after they close you have to enter through the back of the building. Just mildly inconvenient.

The room is pretty, well designed. The location is great, in the middle of the old town. The walls are very thin; we could hear the TV from the next room and every step from the neighbors above. Despite our "do-not-disturb" sign, staff entered our room, which violated our trust. They placed new towels on our bed, contrary to their sustainability policy, and moved my partner's underwear when taking out used towels. This intrusion and handling of personal items, especially underwear, is unacceptable and a significant breach of trust. We found our belongings moved when we returned.

Everything. The spaciousness of the room, the cleanliness, the balcony, the location, the ease of access and security. Would definitely stay there again. Nothing.

Super central location, right in the old town, close to all the bars, restaurants and markets. Clean and tidy apartment, perfect for couples. Our official checkout was at 11:00, but the host let us to do it later since we had our ferry in the afternoon. Entrance via code. Host communication done via Whatsapp, but that was not really an issue since they were responsive. Can't really complain of anything tbh :)

The location was perfect for walking all over old town. Only 10 min away from Monkey hill too! Everything about the property was great.
