The whole hotel was great from the room down to the hot breakfast
-
The 5th-floor hallway was consistently hot and muggy. Our first room had a strong mildew smell coming from the AC unit. We stayed the first night hoping it just needed to run for a while, but by morning the smell was even stronger, the room felt humid, and it was clear there was an issue. We also noticed a broken bathroom doorknob, sticky and dirty-feeling carpet, and water stains on the ceiling. The front desk promptly moved us to the room next door and assured us there was no mildew smell. While the second room initially smelled heavily of perfume, we kept it since we weren't planning to spend much time there. Later we found a hole in the wall, a broken outlet cover, a puncture in the microwave door, peeling bathroom countertop, and sticky carpet. By the next morning, the perfume smell was still there but was now mixed with mildew. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again or recommend it until significant renovations are made. It's possible the issues are isolated to the 5th floor, perhaps due to ceiling leaks, and that floors 1-4 are in better condition, but I can't personally speak to those areas.

This property was outdated and needed work on the lobby and the rooms both. It was clean but my room smelled badly. Breakfast was fine & staff was friendly. I felt it was overpriced for the way it was a bit run down.

Place was near everything our room wasn’t really clean when we got there . There were 2 rolls of toilet paper but were 75% used each my son was going to sleep in the pull out sofa but it looked already slept in because when we arrived it was already pulled out and almost made up . Our comforter looked dirty and stunk . And the room hair dryer didn’t work. Told the front desk about it which they said they would fix but told we were sleeping in because we just played an our first baseball game and didn’t check in till late that night . And the next morning the room severe showed up to our room first thing that morning while we were still sleeping and I told them to not to worry about it we needed to sleep . The pool closed way too early and the people next to our room sounded like they were having a party . And I know the front desk could here them because they where the first door to the to the elevator and it over looked the lobby and I could hear it down there . The beds were not comfortable at all either . I am so glad to be home !! For $531 for 2 nights I think it was ridiculous what we had to deal with

The black out curtains and sheers were not hung up properly I had to ask them to fix them so they would work and the remote didn’t work and when I went downstairs to get a new one I had to wait 15 minutes until someone at the desk showed up. While the person was gone, 2 ladies wanted to purchase food from the small store but ended up not getting anything because no one was at the front desk so they could pay. The only elevator I used had clear tape holding up part of the wall inside the elevator. I didn’t go to the free breakfast either morning because it was very small and too crowded. The motel needs a complete make over and update.

Staff was very helpful

The room was large and very comfortable. Equipped with refrigerator, microwave and sink. There were plenty of pillows and towels when we arrived (and the towels were not paper thin like at many other hotels), and when we checked in, our smoke alarm was beeping. The maintenance team fixed it immediately. Clean, comfortable room and very clean bathroom. We had a very nice night there!

It was a great location around a lot of different places to shop and eat.

The room had a smell that wouldn't go away. Carpet was filthy with pet hair.

This was the most filthy hotel I have ever stayed in. I decided to extend my stay after a night for a work trip so I can explore Charlotte. I had two separate bookings, but this place was unkept and not clean. Trash in the hallways and stairwells, dirty linens left in the hallways consistently and the smell of smoke from black and milds to cigarettes to other smoke associated smells. The room had hair all over the bathroom floor and crumbs in the entryway with broken lampshades and visible stains on the carpet. I do not know how you can keep a hotel in this condition. The photos on the post do not match what the rooms look like at all. I am a very clean person and felt dirty and filthy by association

I still prefer room cleaning every day even though I know most inns no longer do that.

I’ve stayed at many Comfort Inn & Suites for my travels for work. This was the most unkept and filthy hotel I have ever stayed in. I checked in after 11pm and I walked into our room and there was hair all over the bathroom floor and toilet, food crumbs in the walkways, broken lampshades, and a very obviously stained carpet. I have never left a hotel feeling like I was going to go home with dirty hotel related issues, but this hotel gave me that feeling with how dirty everything was. I asked for the room to be cleaned and they did not clean everything. The hallways were filled with trash all the time and dirty linens. Along with the smell of black and milds, cigarettes and other smoke related smells. This was beyond disgusting and disappointing.

pool, breakfast, location Found 2 German roaches in the bathroom on 2 downy different days. The smell of Marijuana from guest rooms and stairwell at all times of day was absolutely horrible. Broken shades on lamps, toilet not secured to the base, stains on bathroom door, dripping tub faucet.

Good

Clean, comfortable room, quick check in, great location mediocre breakfast, gap in door made it easy to hear noises in hallway

Disappointing

Passable

The staff I came in contact with were all pleasant and friendly, but someone (security?) probably needs to patrol the property to contain the behavior of guests gathering right outside the exit doors to smoke and drink (beer out of coolers). We were disappointed by the lack of A/C in the hallway and elevator, and by the breakfast not being served until 7 a.m.

The room was acceptable for myself but due to the manual door latch lock being broken, I didn’t feel secure at night sleeping. The door had a lock on the handle part but the other locking mechanism was only half there. The shower water would not shut off completely either. The room was acceptable otherwise and the staff was helpful.

Stopped halfway home to Pennsylvania from Florida. Booked this last minute to break up the trip home. More than pleasantly surprised. Family of 6, plenty of space. The beds were comfortable the pillows were the best we had on our trip. The breakfast was adequate and time/money saving since it was included. N/A
