A "just ok" kind of hotel. Large room but a bit musty from the a/c leaking into the carpets. Older bathrooms. Parking was a rip off ($30+/day) but it was safe and convenient. 5 minute drive to the major campuses and reasonably priced, this is a good hotel for moving your kid in/out of college but not a luxury hotel experience by any means. Decent breakfast and gym.

I was not able to use this room at all, as I discovered shortly prior to my reservation that the property is not pet-friendly, and I was already traveling with my pets. The person I spoke with at the front desk when I called to cancel was very nice and I appreciated the help, but I have not yet received a refund for any part of the stay that I couldn't use. I can't rate the hotel beyond that, because I didn't visit it at all. Thank you.

Springhill Suites Southside was a fantastic base for our Pittsburgh adventures. There was plenty to do within walking distance, including a beautiful riverside walking path. It was also a quick drive to get to all the stadium and downtown attractions. Breakfast items we delicious and well stocked and our room was quite, and clean with a beautiful river view. We would definitely choose this location again!

The room was for handicapped and there were not bars in the walk in shower to hold on to on the walk in side of the shower
