Location & parking. Dated & could use a deep clean in bathrooms & updated furniture. Couch was wobbly- couldn’t sit on it in one of our rooms.

The buffet breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I love the location its near by every thing and amazing breakfast ready to start your day no elevator

Too many stairs

The location It was an old building without any maintenance. The hotel is suppose to be a four star hotel but it was barely two star. The room didn’t have mini bar, hair dryer, etc. The curtains were full with holes, the bathroom had some rust and the pool seems to be disintegrating. Finally the super breakfast was two blocks away from the hotel

The hotel has a good location. Walkable to shopping and all services. They would have a much better hotel if they provided a fridge and microwave.

Excellent proximity to 5th Avenue and the playa, many restaurants within walking distance. Big comfortable bed, spacious room with even a sun room, free parking (subject to availability) right at the door step, easy check in from 3pm. We really enjoyed our stay at Playa del Carmen! Room was on the second floor without a lift but we knew this beforehand. The pool water was colder than the sea temperature. Nothing was bad really!

The price was nice. The room was spacious. The balcony was okay. Located close to restaurants and diving shop. It was noisy. The pool does not look like the pictures. I could not figure out TV: no instructions. The shower had low water pressure. The room safe was broken.

Location to 5th Ave ,swimming pool was handy, clean and tidy- but could do with a repaint. Beds were very comfortable. No laundry facilities, air conditioning units not always working . Restaurant owner below thought he’d play music as loud as he could to entice people to come dine. 10 nights of failure. Nobody ate there.

Toilet seat wasn't clean and was looking absolutely disgusting with yellow stains on it :/ Windows in the balcony should be cleaned too. Lastly, it doesn't affect my stay, but the building is looking pretty old from the outside.

It does not have an elevator. I was traveling with an elderly person.

The rooms have no minibar, its 31 degrees celsius outside, you get to the room, and you cant have anything cold to drink.

We arrived very late a d needed a basic hotel and this based on the advertised rate , location was passable . It was a 5 minute walk to the next hotel location. The entrance to the hotel wasn’t inviting , not well lit and felt dodgy . There are no elevators which was a huge disadvantage for older adults with health problems ( ie. Knees , etc). When you walk into the room , the smell of the mold is so evident . I was worried about the cleanliness but had no choice . This is worth $50 (vs $125-$150) in my opinion. I’ve travelled to about 40 countries and have stayed in many places. This by far is the worst .

The location, although noisy First off, this hotel is nothing close to a 4 stars as advertised but I would not even give 3. The worst thing we ever experienced is the toilet/bathroom. It’s HORRIBLY smelling as sewage, dark and humid. I avoided using it and preferred using restrooms at restaurants. The water is salty and smelly and we washed our teeth with bottled water. The shower faucet is spraying water all over and it is impossible to have a good rinse. The bed sheets had stains The service is not present at all. The young lady at the reception doesn’t speak English and got rude when I could not understand some of her Spanish. There is no elevator, no fridge, no hairdryer (not even available at the reception) Please don’t come here.

Location is close to the beach. Everything else is atrocious - staff was rude, hotel was dirty, room was dirty. Not sure who rated this hotel with 4 stars, but it ain't it.

Really good location - near a lot of things but on a quieter road which was great! When I arrived to check in no one was at the front desk. I had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to arrive then when someone did I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to check everyone else waiting in because there was a lot of people waiting. When I asked someone at the front desk about how to get a colectivo she said she doesn’t know - when I asked about a bus she said she doesn’t know. Overall really disappointed with front desk staff who either were absent or just have no knowledge on the area at all. Door to hotel is just wide open all night. There is security but he was sleeping when I came in. Not worth the price

The room was big and the balcony was a good bonus. It’s in a good location and had a daily cleaning service. We didn’t use the pool area, but it seemed nice. The place is very basic and I missed some soul or personality. We got an offer of the room, wouldn’t pay the original price for this but with discount it was fine. Wish they had free water in every floor and not just in the lobby.
