It is in an area very close to the beach. Good price but very stuck in the past with its decoration

Perfect Location! Loved everything about it!

My room was like an apt with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and patio that was immaculate, beautifully decorated and within walking distance of the beach and 5th Ave. There is a convenience store Oxxo and a bakery right outside. The courtyard with the pool and chairs was very welcoming. Rodrigo who speaks English was extremely helpful with all the intricacies of the door lock and location of things. Playa del Carmen is beautiful and I wish I could have stayed longer.

The facility is old and not updated. The bathroom is tiny and rusty. Even if it was clean, it did not feel it because it was so old.

It would be nice if they had coffee 24/7 or at least earlier in the morning for us early risers

The location. It’s a very dated hotel. There is construction and noise from construction from 6 AM till 6 PM at night. My second night there a body with a bag around its head was found within 150 feet of the entrance. I had my service dog and paid a fee of C$120 as a deposit. Then upon checkout, they told me I owed another 100 American dollars because the room had lots of hair in it. It’s because they never flipped the room or cleaned it because I told him they didn’t need to until we left. Then they got me for about $300 Canadian after paying and kept my luggage and would not release it until I paid it. Very shaft management. Except for the young guy who was the manager of the front desk. Again near no attractions, major construction all the time and then rip you off your deposit and keep your luggage hostage until you pay another 100 American dollars because there was dog hair in the room, then accused us of stealing the air conditioner, remote control because we have a lot of use for that, right….

Receptionist was polite. Everything else. Extremely dirty room, smelly, bed sheets with body fluid stains, dead bugs between sheets, mattress with mold, shower floor and walls with mold. Overall, the WORST hotel room we ever seen in over 25 years traveling!!

The bedroom has a good size, all the utilities were working properly. I like it the style of the hotel. The price is good for this hotel.

Great location, however this hotel needs maintenance No access to terrace, no elevator so climbing stairs to third floor with suitcases is challenging. The safe lock was broken, Wi-Fi was not reaching our room. We asked to be moved, but they said they didn’t have any other rooms available.

Good location. Spacious room. The bed and pillows were hard. The fridge made so much noise. Bad lighting. The pool was dirty. And there was construction in front of the hotel

Great location

Excellent parking spot. All places to go out at night and shops are just a few steps away. The light of corridor enters the room. Some rooms have fridge, but others not. Breakfast included in price is a little poor (2 & 1/2 slices of toasted bread, 1 pack of butter, 1 pack of marmelade & coffee or juice).

It was next door to a good coffee shop Room was full of mosquitoes, tried covering exposed cracks with towels but didn’t help. I was chewed up. Had to leave after 2 nights. Bed was awful Everything in room was sticky with moisture

The rooms are clean, affordable and location is good The wifi is terrible don’t plan to do any video calls here you can barely use social media

Rooms are too basic. No kettle, no cutlery no nothing. Internet just doesn't work, I think it's because their modems are pointing in the wrong direction. They are giving the internet to the shop across the street. The carpark system is just silly. You need to message reception each time you want to come in or out. The lady working in the night shift is rude. I think she hates her job. She should be fired for her own sake. Lastly, I didn't have security issues, but reading other comments made us very stressed. Specially, when you see the answers from the hotel where they never apologize or mentioned that they solve the problem they only backfire at customers like it was their fault getting robbed. Booking lied in their pricing and I ended up paying more due to the currency exchange rate even when the price was in Australian dollars. For the price I ended up paying I've booked something better.

When first arriving the hotel did look quite old and worn as did the room itself. However, overtime the place grew on me. It was very well located. A few blocks from the beach and in a quieter part of town with more access to more traditional businesses and local restaurants. After three days I found myself really appreciating the charm of the place.
