I really loved this place. It's beautiful, quiet, and so peaceful. The STAFF is AMAZING! Every single staff member really went out of their way to make every moment special. The food was really good (except the breakfast buffet. But it's just nothing to rave about). The sushi was one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. Going to the spa is a must! Genuinely, just the breakfast buffet. I really can't think of much else that was negative at all.

Many activists and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I loved the food the pool and the staff

It was very hard to get reservations at the restaurants.I wish they had told us to book immediately upon arrival. They were sold out most every night. If you did it the same day.

Great for family reunions ! Something for everyone ! Loved Elena & the team as The facility for Pliates & Yoga was outstanding They could improve communication before & on arrival about the facility activities / booking restaurants / concierge for non Reserve member was poor ..

Beautiful location, beautiful property, beautiful beach. The food was either cold or lukewarm. Also there was not much of a variety of food especially in the restaurants. However, I will stay Lemon Fish had the best food overall. If the food was hot or warm then the stay would have been 10s across the board.

The design, the big generous rooms, the vegetation in and around the hotel, the cats, coatis, raccoons, birds around the hotel, the powdery sand on the beach, the friendliness of the staff, the excellent upkeep and cleanliness. Not all the food had the same quality.
-
old building, elevators were gross, the fridge was not stocked as advertised, the front desk were not helpful, the quality of food was poor, the red meat was low quality.

The hotel staff is lovely, the hotel is well maintained, the rooms are spacious. The downside is that there is no public transportation or shuttles from the hotel to the center, a taxi costs $15-20 one way. The hotel is a 45-minute walk to Fifth Avenue where all the pubs, restaurants, and shops are. The food in the evening, in the hotel restaurants, was not at the level we expected. You need to make a reservation in advance. We ate at the buffet which was open most of the day.

Property could use more entertainment, more restaurants that don't require reservations. Food options 24/7. More sweets shops

I liked that there was one side for adults only. Also ELVIS !! He is the man. It was sad that we met him on our last day because he spoilt us for sure ! He took care of us even when we didn’t ask for anything he would pop on over and recommend a drink. He was also a lot of fun and made our last day amazing! Having to book min 3 days in advance for an early dinner booking. When we arrived on our first day our first few dinners were late in the evening around 8pm or later. One night we were even told 10pm

While the whole experience was great, and every staff member was super helpful, I want to specially thank Ricardo and Johnny from the beach bar, they went above and beyond to make our stay flawless! A couple of guests would play loud music on their phones.

Spacious rooms (when we got the “right” one), gorgeous pool in The Reserve only. Sal restaurant. 1) Do NOT book the Roulette room unless you want your room to be in the kids section of the hotel. Booking.com and the hotel’s website is completely misleading. We were convinced we’d booked the adults only room due to the confirmation we had on our booking, but it turns out our room was in the family section. We ended up paying 700USD for an upgrade to The Reserve (we’d have typically paid 1500USD but the guy gave us a discount as we complained). 2) The food is terrible. Room service in particularly is awful. The only nice meal we had was in Sal, the steak resto. 3) Large groups of Americans in the pool playing their own music and generally being loud. We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks so saw plenty come and go. It wasn’t a “one off” 4) Given that we’d paid for The Reserve (unwillingly), this offered an individual concierge service, who would message us on WhatsApp each day with activity schedules, help us with taxis and booking of restaurants. However, we had to go to them after 1.5 days of NO service. They got my number wrong, and made no effort to come to our room to resolve the issue, despite acknowledging they couldn’t get hold of us.

The staff was exceptional.

Our stay was FANTASTIC! Roberto was amazing and made sure we’d had the best trip imaginable! We will absolutely be coming back, I can’t think of a single negative! Amazing!

We were there on a spontaneous trip for our 6 month anniversary. The resort has adult only on one side and family on the other. There are restaurants and bars in the middle that can be shared with all adults, but adults only one of the sides. We only went to 3 of the restaurants, but they were all good. The rest of the time we ate at the buffet. The buffets were clean and full of all sorts of food. My husband is gluten free and although the buffets did not have GF bread that we knew of, there was still plenty of food to eat. Unexpectedly, we were upgraded to a RESERVE room which was very spacious and clean. It has all the amenities one needs. I found the bed to be comfortable as well as the soft pillows. My husband likes a more firm pillow so he didn't quite sleep as well. None of the rooms look out to the ocean, but it is a short walk to the beach and watch an AMAZING sunrise. In fact, it is really beautiful and less crowded in the morning to get in the water. There is a public beach on either side of this beach, so there are lots of locals that stroll by and on Sunday afternoon, their side of the "ocean" was packed. It didn't bother me at all. There is security all over and we felt very safe and I'm happy they have a place too. My husband enjoyed snorkeling as the reef is close by. It's not quite as good as snorkeling in Puerto Morelos (which I highly recommend), but he still had fun. FYI- they do not have snorkel gear to rent here, but I noticed you can buy at the gift shop. One other thing, this beach has a seaweed wall and there was minimal seaweed and the white sand feels amazing under your feet. Don't forget your sunscreen. It will cost you $53 American dollars at the giftshop for a normal size spray bottle. Also, this isn't a place with lots of entertainment. They did have a small group dancing in the open areas while we were there. Although they did a great job dancing and singing, it seemed incredibly cramped for them because they didn't have a stage. We were there Aug. 12, 2023 and the night life just wasn't busy as all. In fact, the entire place wasn't busy. The main adult pool had just a handful of people in it. We spent most of our time on the beach. I'd still recommend and come back.

Nothing at all just the swimming pool area Everything

Dining was terrific, we enjoyed the buffet and the specialty restaurants. The resort is well-maintained and the room was spacious and clean. Staff is most helpful and responsive. Plenty of drink spots. The pool area had loud club music all afternoon, could not be there or even sit on our balcony overlooking the pool; we either went inside or found a quiet place elsewhere. The 3am AC leak was a drag, but a 3-man crew was there in a half hour to fix it. Early in our stay we were badgered to buy extra services or future visits but that decreased.

Very relaxing stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were the best. I definitely recommend We had a hard time finding the entrance due to the gps directing us down dead end roads along the perimeter of the property. There were no signs leading to the entrance.

Property was clean and staff were helpful. Food was not great
