I really liked the beach that was best part of the trip I’ll be honest at 500 dollars for 3 nights I wasn’t expecting it to be a 5 star resort, but the rooms are very very dated in desperate need of remodeling and the food was pretty bad. I am not a foodie at all and for me to say food was bad that means a lot school food and jail food is actually better and I was a teacher and would eat at school and also eventually law enforcement and times we couldn’t leave the jail I’d have to eat the jail food and it was pretty bad but tasted better than this resorts food. I ate ate the Chinese restaurant on site and Panda Express is 100x better so take that information as you please

In the very middle of playa dorada Properties need to be more modern
-
The food is just basic. Not variety and only one restaurant
-
The only thing good about this stay was the staff, all friendly and helpful. the food was atrocious and very limited in options, the hotel is very run down and not properly maintained. We had to change rooms several times due to various different issues with each room.
-
no toothpaste, coffee machine didn't work, food at beach was cold; didn't get to go to restaurant (bc reservation ends at noon) or buffet (closes at 3pm); we, as probably everyone, got there at 3pm.
-
The property was okay..a bit outdated The facilities look like they could use a remodeling to bring up to date.
-
Could use updating, lounge chairs at the pool some were broken should not be for a 4 star hotel.

The food was excellent, the entertainment perfect, and the attention was incredible The food

Excellent staff, very attentive and always happy to make your stay better The food selection while being decent and fresh, was somehow bland. Wi-fi was very poor quality

Clean, friendly staff, good value for your money Outdated a bit and the food was basic
-
The staff and service were great. The value for the money was great. The Italian specialty restaurant was really good. The food on the buffet was almost inedible.
-
Beautiful beach Swim up bar was more of a wade up bar. They closed the buffet so we were forced to eat at the Chinese restaurant which was terrible. The beds were really hard but that’s a Dominican thing not necessarily unique to this place.

Parking limitations

The bed was hard as a rock! Food was just ok in the buffet. Friends said they ordered wine and it was the worst stuff they’ve ever tasted. Chinese restaurant was a total let down.

The buffet staff were friendly and the entertainment staff had great energy. The grounds and location were great. We chose this resort because it is adult only and has a swim up bar which is a plus. Check-in was delayed by an hour and a half and the staff were very dismissive. My room had no hot water, no working hard dyer, and peeling paint on the walls. Some rooms had a blanket supplied and some did not. Several of our friends had to get room keys changed more than twice. I brought several people to the resort to celebrate my 60th birthday. I believe I received the worst room of all my friends and family. ( I saw many of their rooms) Many places recognize a special birthday. This place did a minimal job. I had a happy Birthday sign on my terrible room door and some balloons on the hard as a rock bed. The food was acceptable, except the Chinese restaurant--absolutely no flavor to most of our dishes.

Pools were well taken care of Staff at the front desk were rude and unaccommodating

The resort is getting older, however it is kept up and clean. The staff in all departments is very pleasant to deal with. The animation crew is the main reason I keep coming back,( been going there since 2013) There is 3 pools to choose from, 1 has a swim up bar, one has a volleyball net and the other is a smaller (no alcohol allowed) back next to the weight room and has a couple flavors of juice, as well as coffee. The beach is tidy and clean and serves food 24 hrs. 7 days a week.
