Food was excellent, the staff as well. The rules for new customers should be explained clearly when they arrive at the lobby.

Food buffet was very good. Bed was comfortable. A/C was good. Rooms are in very bad shape. shower's hook broken - have photos. illumination is poor. furniture is very old and photos are deceiving. pool is dirty - have photos. Registration process was chaotic.

I liked the rooms, requested for both rooms to be next to each other and they were able to accommodate us. The staff was also nice and rooms were clean. Location was also good, if anyone wants to go out and see puerto plata’s malecon. Resort was also family friendly. Rooms were outdated. The food was meh, no variety in the Buffett, I only recalled one or two meals I actually liked. The drinks were watered down, they did not taste natural, very artificial. Barely any activities at night, perhaps because I went during a weekday but it was a bit boring at night.

We complain about the phone in the room twice and they didn't resolve it. They should uptaded the system to make reservations in the restaurants. We waste almost 40 minutes in the line to made a reservation and at the end didn't get the restaurant that we want. There's no information in the room about the services and facilities and in the reception they didn't tell us either. There weren't any person staff in the door of the Octopus Restaurant and there were a lot of people in the line in the stairs which was unsafe.

really nice beach, friendly staff, reasonably clean facilities. really good dinner food at the restaurants, not overly loud, overly crowded or big "party" atmosphere, great water pressure in the showers, best sangria I've ever had. The little things hurt our stay. We had to move rooms 2x, first because they'd ignored a special request & then because they'd accidentally put us in a room that needed maintenance. But then the room we got moved to also had an issue. We were given inaccurate instructions about how to return/exchange towels, and the beach & pool staff never agreed on how to do it right. The person who took our dinner reservations took about 3 tries to get them right. Didn't even get our nightly turn-down chocolates w/the premier package. All of these issues made us have to spend way too much time waiting around at the front desk for help. The Hobie Cat didn't have a sail attached, so I'm not sure if that was actually available. Weather didn't cooperate enough for me to inquire further. Last comment - I don't think the premier package was worth the money for us. The private beach access didn't really accomplish much, though having our own beach bar was nice. The drinks in the vintage club were definitely far better than the main bars - but unless you want to sit inside drinking @ a beachfront resort, it wasn't a great benefit. early check-in never happened for us, though they did approve an extra hour for checkout which helped.

The music and no entertainment

Little Old place, need to be restore, lobby customer service maybe not the best, I will say that the price is too high for the service. Must of the customer smoke too too much every where, I don't really like that

The bed and the pillows were stiff, the AC kind of loud when on.

Staff needs to be more friendly. The rooms and the hotel seem a little old. Needs an upgrade.

Staff, accommodations and cleanliness

The location was good. The staff was pleasant and attentive at all times. The bedroom didn't have a mirror for makeup and for one to get prepared.

No mirrors in the room

The staff were very approachable, eager to help and quick to follow through. The resort was small enough that someone using a cane could manage easily. The food was OK...no one needed to go hungry. The decor in the room was dated but very very clean. We had 2 beds, one had a nice mattress and the other was flat and hard. Having to get up at 6:00 am to save chairs at the beach is kind of ridiculous!

Great location, the beach was lovely. Drinks good. Staff helpful. We had a junior suite, and were expecting a little nicer room. Most of the lights didn’t work, the ceiling fan was broken, the mini bar was stocked every other day and the water is not drinkable from faucet. The mattress was very hard. The drinks were served in small paper cups, which after 5 min began to make the cup fall apart. The food was ok, not spectacular.

Got there and surprise pool closed for remodeling, it had been better if told us when booking, we booked with king size bed , and got full size bed

Confy bed Always clean and the staff top ? They need people on the pool bar. We didn't have the chance to visit other restaurant
