The location is wonderful! Smaller, beautiful intimate resort with all the amenities you could wish for.

To start the hotel still has 2 charges pending on my credit card, I understand a hold to make sure we didn’t mess the room up. We did not, but it’s still pending and there is a second charge for $332 that we have no idea what’s it’s from. I only ordered 1 drink to the room and that was it. Additionally there were ants in our room. I understand it’s Hawai’i but if you’re going to charge so much and have rooms cleaned everyday I’d figure they could get rid of ants. Also on our vacation the hurricane hit and we were stuck in the room for a day. The alarm kept going off and they came to check our smoke alarm twice when no one was smoking in the whole floor.

Service excellent!

Rooms were clean but nothing special about this place. Extremely expensive for what you are getting. Worst thing about this resort, is there is barely anything to eat on the resort! Just one restaurant on the in room dining closes at 9pm with a very limited menu! Wnt be back again for sure!

We ate at both the pool bar and the sushi bar and were so impressed with the food and drinks. The staff was also wonderful and helped us with every request (and I feel like I asked a lot of questions!). Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

All was good. We had a good time
-
The small size of the resort and the quality of the buildings and the rooms. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The restaurant is very good ! That next door there are massive timeshare complexes run by Marriott and Hyatt.

The staff were exceptionally helpful with our travel plans .

What a nice surprise with this hotel, as it is right on the beach, where you can lie down to lounge to your left on the beach or go right to snorkel. The best part of this hotel is that it is quiet and relaxing and not heaving with people. The rooms are huge, and the walk-in shower is huge. I loved the peaceful garden room on the first floor. As I walked around other hotels, they were heaving with yelling kids and so many people; this was just such a genuinely relaxing hotel, and everything was easy to get to. At this hotel, you can walk to other restaurants, beaches, and coffee shops. I do recommend Red Salt as it is a great choice for dinner. However, nothing can walk over and get yourself a Puka Dog and watch the sea turtles on the beach. This is also a great launching point for summer boat trips along the Napali Coast and for hiking Waima Canyon.

We had a couples massage and a chef-curated dinner experience hosted by Red Salt’s executive chef, and both were outstanding. We highly recommend both! Our ocean view room was beautiful, clean, modern, and spacious. Housekeeping did a wonderful job each day, and the nightly turndown service was a great touch. We loved the intimate, boutique feel of the resort. It is quiet and peaceful, even around the pool, and the smaller size makes it easy to get around while still feeling like every guest is a priority. The beach is beautiful, clean, and incredibly convenient to access, with amazing water for swimming. The onsite rental shack also makes it easy and affordable to rent snorkel gear, take surf lessons, or get chairs and umbrellas. The location is fantastic, with shopping centers and restaurants just minutes away. If you’re looking for the ultimate relaxing getaway with exceptional service, you should absolutely stay at Ko’a Kea. We cannot wait to come back!
