Sunny Poreč by Valamar

Facilities and amenities were great with 4 pools, water slides, pool table and gaming room. Food was good with lots of variety and options for kids. Location was great. We stayed at the resort for two nights. The staff at the front desk was very personable and happy to help during check in. When we got to our room we noticed a trail / pack of ants at the front door, the air conditioning did not seem to be working and we noticed that the toilets would make a bubbling noise ever few minutes. We made the front desk aware. They sent staff by a couple of times. They told us there wasn't enough gas to support keeping the air conditioning going for the property and this was the best they could do. After a second visit they sprayed the ants but they were back the next morning. They never addressed the toilets. One of the toilets shot water out during our stay. On the morning of our check out, the sewage system over flowed and back flowed into our unit pouring sewage into our unit. We had to scramble out of our room immediately. We made the staff aware but no one really seemed concerned or interested in what had happened. It would appear they were already aware of these problems previously and really had no solution. Really no sense of urgency on the part of the staff at the resort to address the issues. Given what we paid and our expectations of Valamar resorts we were pretty disappointed on how this was all handled.

This hotel is in a perfect location, just steps from the beach and within walking distance of the historic center of Poreč. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, offering a wide selection of fresh, delicious options to suit every taste. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. While the hotel has a great location and offers excellent meals with friendly service, there were several aspects that fell short of expectations. The rooms are old and dated, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The overall atmosphere felt very touristy and crowded, and cleanliness was not always up to standard. Considering the condition of the facilities and the overall experience, it didn’t feel like good value for money and certainly didn’t meet the standards of a 4-star hotel.

The room needed quite a bit of refurbishment and the exterior walls of the hotel also need some maintenance.

The surroundings, the restaurant. The vibe..the pool.. All in all a very good hotel. The room was a bit small but perfect for a-short stay.

Food, run down, restaurant like a motorway service centre. Definitely not 4 star sadly.

Very good location very close to town Porec and next to the fantastic beach Brulo . I enjoyed 3 meals per day, food is good and rich self service buffet. Outdoor swimming pool is nice and enough deep for swimmming. In reality this is 3 stars hotel, but is all OK. Toilletes at the swimming pool really needs renovation. Lots of noice and many people in the restarurant , but this is family hotel , so its acceptable . I will come again.

Very kind and helpful hotel staff. Varied selection of dishes for breakfast and dinner. Tasty brunch was a surprise. Excellent location of the hotel, only 200m from the beach and approx. 1.5km from the city center. The hotel requires some investments - especially in the exterior (outdoor terrace, pool area, facade).

Wonderful location. Good internal services (swimming pool, bars, restaurant and game center)

Food was exceptional. Great selection for dinner and breakfast. Could have gone for brunch after breakfast as well, but had to leave. Parking completely overcrowded. Car charging station at the hotel next door would have cost over 30 Euros for 4 hours. Thanks, but no thanks. Pool was closed because it rained a little bit. Makes no sense what so ever. That part was a total disappointment.

Staff were very helpful and the hotel was 15 minute walk into the town. Short walk to the shoreline where there was a good range of watersport activities available. A very small gripe, the pool was saltwater. That said, after a few days, the kids climatised, and it didn't sting the eyes as much. Bring goggles.

Pool was the only good thing about this hotel. Too expensive for its quality. It felt like a 2 star hotel. Rooms were outdated. Restaurants there was not enough room for sitting plus big line ups. Qualify of the food was bad. In hotel too many dogs felt like a dog hotel. Few dogs not on a leash which I didn't like.

The property is very clean some items in the rooms are dated but everything was very clean. No elevator for the restaurant so a dog stroller or any stroller was not easy to maneuver

the hospitality of the hotel and the kindness of the staff Originally, I wanted to book accommodation at Hotel Valamar Diamant, but I thought it wouldn't be a problem as both hotels are 4 stars. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. This hotel does not even deserve 3 stars. The room's furnishings are poor, the bathroom door is actually rotten (room 405). You could barely get a seat at dinner and breakfast, it was so crowded, if we went later, most of the dishes were already sold out. There were practically no meat dishes. I went over to the hotel valamar diamant, where the restaurant and offer corresponding to the 4-star level awaited the guests. For my lover's birthday, this would have been a pillow-day relaxation gift, but it was a disappointment due to the quality of the hotel. It would be great if they could find a solution to fix this Best regards, Huba Ambrus
