The Trident Hotel

Very beautiful property, comfortable and spacious bedroom, delicious meals, lovely beach, pool in room was a plus. Complimentary breakfast. Smooth check in. Great for the cost. The lady at the restaurant was very professional and excellent at her job. The food quantity was really small. The minibar was charged however this was not thoroughly explained they could have stated it was stocked but only water was complimentary. I did not like the fact that only water was complimentary, at least 2 sodas could have been added to the complimentary beverages along with a snack. It appeared as if the quality has fallen. Workers didnot seem happy. Limited meal options. There was no sign at the gate, it was difficult to find the entrance.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel & WILL be coming back. Portland is such a beautiful parrish. So much to see and do. My villa was spacious and amazing. I loved my outdoor tub and my private pool. I love the fact is was nestled away. One can truly relax here. The property was clean and staff was amazing. The view from my room was breathtaking. The private beach was EVERYTHING!!!

Amazing Nothing

No idea how this place got a 5-star rating, but it certainly doesn't relate to that. The main issue is the service. It started with the staff being incapable of processing credit card information before one has even arrived, intrusive and unpleasant service staff, below-average 5-star cuisine (barely good enough for the next fast-food stand), air conditioning + fan on full blast at an outdoor temperature of 21 degrees Celsius (you'll freeze your butt off), and now a call on the evening before checkout wanting to settle some final bill already. I have never experienced this last point before - not even in a rundown youth hostel. Incredibly poor and disappointing.

Staff was very accommodating and took care of every request. First room not as described but they were happy to change. Food fine but not spectacular.

The place was quiet. I loved the fact it had its own private beach and a very fully furnished gym. The room had its own pool close to the sea and with all the lights switched off the starts were super clear at night!

I visited Colombia in September and was able to communicate with the hotel and have questions answered prior to the visit via whatsapp. Trident Hotel needs a whatsapp number. The mal odor in the bathroom can be rectified easily with some kind of continuous odor diffuser. Plug ins?

room was clean nice comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the waitress was exceptional They should inform guest about construction on road in front of the hotel. It was very hard to drive into hotel because of the digging and holes. The fact that there is hardly any lights on the grounds so walking at nights is not ideal or comfortable. Spa was closed

The staff was amazing, the private beach, the private pool and view from the room. The food was mediocre and over priced.

Every detail - the villa was beautiful with ever possible convenience designed in. The staff helpful and genuinely friendly. Food was excellent and freshly cooked.

At check-in we were greeted with a cold rag for the heat. Along with a cold glass of coconut water. The first check in staff were awesome. I forgot her name and the guy that helped with the luggage. Security-Kenroy was great. A picture fell from the wall at 3am and he was there in minutes. Jemelia at the front desk was great. Kenesha was great. Breafast was awesome. The whole experience was awesome. The fact that each room has a private pool is beyond a bonus.
