Our stay was perfect, we loved everything of it: the location - very quiet but so close to some of the best beaches on the island - the house - large and comfortable - and most of all the landlady - Christa was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make everything work fine! The only thing we did not like was when we had to leave, we should have stayed longer :)

The owner Christa is very friendly and helpful and tries to accommodate her guests as good as possible. She is very helpful with advice on the (few) facilities of the area and any other questions you might have ... This is NOT a Two-Bedroom House - this is a basement apartment with the owner Christa & her mother living in the same house on the floor above. The property is not easy to find - there are two small signs leading up a hill but no sign at the final property. The owner has 3 dogs which are only allowed outside at night - are there security issues ? But when they are let out at night you are then supposed to stay inside the apartment - otherwise they might come and ‚inspect‘ you … ?! There are a lot of noises in the area - especially at night (dogs barking). The view from the little patio is straight onto the wall of the neighbor and and a dilapidated house in the corner of the property - please refer to the pictures from another review. Although we had booked the entire ‚apartment’ with TWO bedrooms the one bedroom was locked ! There is only one air-conditioner in the bedroom - in the living area there is only a mobile fan. In the area on the western side of Mahe there are only a few restaurants and tiny (mostly Indian) shops - and a car is strongly recommended ! Sorry to say - but this is a classic case of how a couple of ‚clever' pictures paint a complete different picture of the actual situation …

Location is perfect, very secluded and away from any noise. You have Grand Anse and Port Launay beach nearby with easy access to local buses. Christa is the best host we ever had - very kind and helpful with everything. Nothing - all was simply perfect.

Very nice and big apartment with everything needed. Great hospitality! Not very appropriate if you travel with public transport. No shops, restaurants or beaches around.

Spacious good accommodation. The lower part of the house was for our accommodation and the upper part is for the owner. The house is well located for holidays around the island. Otherwise, everything was as we expected, the lady of the house willing and ready to explain everything. Hot showers, as much as you need, electrically heated water. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is functional. The fridge is adequate, the kitchen utensils are adequate, we just couldn't get the sandwich maker working and the knife set is nice but not sharp, needs a good sharpener. Not the one that comes with the knife set. The driveway is an adrenaline rush when you drive it for the first time. It is a bit difficult to find the house. Those who will live here should be aware that three dogs, two shepherds and one smaller one, are released into the garden every evening. They make it a bit complicated when you want to go back to the car in the evening to get something. The dogs are not aggressive, but it may not be pleasant for everyone .We didn't mind it so much.

We did have a great time at Chrisent Residence, the host is super helpful and did great job to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible, helped us with everything we needed, giving useful advice and sharing information on hiking trails, food and many other things. I highly recommend booking a stay here, it's great value for the money.

- polite and responsive owner - big apartment - residence location is convenient to access the main Mahe trails (car is required) - the residence is surrounded with neighbor's houses and you never know which noise will wake you up at night / early morning (like dog howl or crowing). Tip: use ear plugs if you want to sleep well at Seychelles - it's more a "garden view" than "mountain view" (see photos) - you cannot use terrace for breakfast because of open sun - geo location at booking.com is not accurate and needs to be adjusted, follow the sign to get to the residence - would be nice to have a microwave at the kitchen but it's not that critical

Christa is a super welcoming and carring host. She really cares about you welbeing and all your needs.
