Hotel Pietrarsa Portici

Location good, and from my room on a higher floor I could see the Isle of Capri. Parking spaces behind the hotel are limited, but on the night I stayed here, parking was easy. Nice place, but a very poor breakfast -- no effort was made at all to prepare a proper breakfast. Only one young person was present, who doesn't get paid enough.

Bed was comfy Shower broken and held together with a screw, Pool is not included in the price and unless you look intently you won't realise until you arrive. No lift Breakfast is very very basic but it is included in price so shouldn't complain really, and the cake is quite nice. Have to leave room key every time you leave the hotel, very strange. Certain taxes were included in price but was charged anyway, will be checking this

The staff were friendly and helpful, swimming pool is a great bonus in the city. The hotel is very tired, run down and needs renovation.

Receptionist was always smiling and pleasant Hotel needs a revamp in common areas. The emergency exits opposite our door was blocked with rubbish wood etc. No fridge in room. Bunk bed for kids.

The location was excellent for visiting Pompeii, Vesuvius and Naples. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and pleasant It’s a bit tired and the pool was closed which wasn’t advertised!!

I am happy we decided to leave the hotel and find somewhere else to stay Just like everyone else reviewing the hotel we were surprised by the extra fee for using the pool. On top of that the pool were full, and we couldn't enter the pool area if we wanted to. After checking in we were informed in a message in Italian that we had to pay an additional fee for using aircondition in the room. I regret not reading the reviews from other guests before booking the hotel. I am surprised booking.com allows hotels to advertise with facilities where it isnt clearly stated an extra fee is charged for use of air conditioning and pool.

It was clean I didn’t like that the owners of the hotel are shouting up and down the stairs all hours of the day, they are walking around and since there are no weather strips under the door you can hear ever single thing happening on every floor of the hotel. I didn’t appreciate that although there was air conditioning available for extra charge, once we decided that it was worth it it to pay to use, there were no instructions or remotes to turn it on and so we couldn’t even use it if we wanted to. Also the toilet chamber overflowed every-time it flushed and sprayed water all over the bathroom until the toilet bowl refilled. Additionally, the location was extremely poor, we had to walk 3 miles towards Naples until we were able to flag down a taxi. We had to find other accommodations for these reasons, therefore I wouldn’t stay again, or recommend to anyone.

The staff provided me with solutions to any needs, even if beyond the ordinary requests. And I have to admit I asked for a bulk of extra services. Furthermore, the cleaning of the facility was accurately carried out. A pleasant smell always welcomed me when I came back to my room. The room boasting adequate furniture was huge and comfortable. Additionally, the location offering an astonishing view of the sea was convenient. Moreover, the garden with several swimming pools were paramount! As a consequence, I will come back there and I suggest it. Nothing to report
