Casinhas no Carolina - Hostel

Sara is very nice. She explained everything, there is a free coffee every morning, we could use the kitchen if we wanted to cook and even though the bathroom is shared. I have never experienced a long wait as there are two available and there are only a few rooms sharing. There area is a few meters away to 3 subway lines which is a few stops away to Trendade (Porto downtown) or to Campanha (main train and bus terminals).

Excellent location, nice room, comfy bed, kind staff, AC available. No issues with availability or cleanliness of bathrooms.

The property was very good. You have to wait for a while for anyone to answer the door until you receive the code. Great establishment very quiet.

Excellent location, in a more quiet area but really close to the metro. Easy to get into the historical center and to the airport. Very clean facilities too. Would def recommend.

The bed pillows were soft and they were the best pillows of anywhere I stayed while traveling in Portugal. Bed was comfortable. A/C in the room was great to have. Whoever lives upstairs over room 2 woke me up every morning at 4:15am, walking around loudly with shoes on for at least an hour. Otherwise, the hostel was quiet at night.

The owner was very friendly and sent out a helpful list of local attractions and food before our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was very cute decor. I would highly recommend staying here! We could have missed something, but we did not find a place to hang dry our clothes, which was a little inconvenient.

The location is great - Close to Casa da Musica, residential neighborhood - Metro to City Center and Airport across the street= Very quiet Check in is very late 3pm - All guests arrive at the same time and because we have received no prior instructions the eployee took a while to get us all cjhecked in.

Comfortable big room! Very safe to walk around the areas, just 3-4 minutes walk to nearby groceries stores and metro station, very very convenient to the tourist attraction. Nothing

Well-located, with a peaceful atmosphere and a cute garden. It was nice to have a private bedroom but still share common spaces. Nicely equipped kitchen.

After walking the portuguese Camino de Santiago, I took the train back to Porto for my flight home the next day. Casinhas no Carolina was amazing. Very close to the Carolina Michaelis metro station, in a quiet neighborhood, the bedroom was amazing, the kitchen area was amazing, two bathrooms with showers and very secure with keypad entry codes to get into the property.

A gem. For 35€ have a nice room, very clean and quiet, yes please.

The decoration really stood out. clean, elegant, and inspired by a tasteful classical style that gives the whole place a peaceful atmosphere. After a long and tiring journey, that sense of calm was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this hostel and will certainly book again.

One of the best stays I've experienced in recent memory. A true gem. Comfortable, exceptionally cozy and clean, and in a safe neighborhood with multiple cafes and a supermarket, also just steps from the metro station. Can't wait to come back.

The hostel was very beautiful. It was clean and the owner came to welcome us and give us a tour of the place. It's got a very classic design, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean, and there was a living room with very nice furniture and it was cozy. We didn't even notice the other guests because it was very quiet. The owner also gave us a list of recommendations for places to see, where to eat, and how to get around by public transit. Also the location is right across the street from a train station so it's easy to get there to and from the airport. We arrived an hour early and it was pouring rain so we rang the doorbell and asked if we can just stay in the waiting area until our check in time. The housekeeper refused to let us in despite the rain. She said we can stay outside under an awning but everything was wet and so we left our luggage in a storage closet and went to a cafe nearby until our check in time. I understand our check wasn't until 3PM but they could've just let us sit and wait in the living room or something so we don't get soaked.
