Location of hotel Overall, I found the stay very poor value for money and left feeling extremely disappointed. The most serious issue occurred when the housekeeping team left my room key in the door. When I returned in the evening, I found my room had been left unlocked for what could have been around eight hours. Fortunately, nothing had been stolen, but this was incredibly stressful and completely unacceptable. It left me feeling very uneasy about the hotel's standards of security. The hotel itself is in desperate need of refurbishment. The rooms are dated, with worn fixtures and fittings. The shower was in poor condition, with broken parts that meant I had to hold the shower head by hand while washing. This is not what I would expect from a hotel charging these rates. The breakfast was also very disappointing and certainly not worth the additional cost. The coffee tasted unpleasant, and the selection was extremely limited, consisting mainly of basic bread rolls, ham and cheese of very poor quality. It offered little variety or value. I had booked this hotel to celebrate my friend's birthday and was hoping for a memorable stay. Sadly, the moment we opened the door to the room, I felt completely let down. Instead of enjoying the occasion, I was left wishing we had chosen somewhere else. It is disappointing that this experience overshadowed what should have been a wonderful trip to Portugal. Unfortunately, because of the poor standards, lack of security and overall condition of the hotel, I would not return and cannot recommend it to others. If you'd like, I can also make this sound firmer and more like a 1-star Tripadvisor or Booking.com review. Only good aspect is location

location spot on nothing

It was near the city center and was very easy to find and return back to after a very long tiring day. Only if it had AC in the rooms, it would’ve been great then.

Very good location and staff at the place! They allowed us to leave our luggages before and after our stay what was very sweet. Be aware of the noice from the street as location is right next to the busy area where they are streaming the matches

The only cheap possibility to stay one or two nights in expensive Porto City. Old, very old, the reception could not speak in english, in German or in french

Close to the metro which was useful as we had a late flight in and just needed a base in porto for a night. Very basic breakfast included. Noise of the metro and the city meant sleep was disturbed until 1am . No kettle in room so couldnt make tea or coffee. Basic but clean.
