The bed was big and comfortable. The hostel also offered guided tours based on tips. Every night, there was a movie to watch in the common living room, and the rooftop was very nice. The toilets aren’t ventilated well enough, and there isn’t even a single window, which wasn’t ideal. ?? The air conditioning at night was a little too weak as well.

PERFECT location! We stayed in an all girls room and it was fun! The beds were comfortable and clean, and the rooms were air conditioned! There are also lockers big enough for a check bag that lock with your key card, so everything felt very secure all the time. Rooftop was a nice plus!

The location is fantastic. Excellent windows even kept most of the FIFA viewing noise out of the room. The runner down our hallway needs to be replaced. Some yogurt would be a nice breakfast addition.

Staff is wonderful! They provide free activities.

I had a great stay at Rivoli Cinema Hostel. The location is unbeatable—right next to Praça da Liberdade, making it incredibly easy to walk anywhere in the city (even the riverfront is only about a 15-minute walk). The mattress was very comfortable, and I loved the handy shelf at the head of the bed for personal items. You get a huge locker for storage, and the best part is that one single keycard unlocks the main entrance, your room, and your locker—so convenient! The bathrooms and showers were generally very clean, and the free breakfast, while basic, was definitely enough to get the day started. The staff were also wonderfully helpful and had great attitudes. Because of the fully enclosed "pod-like" structure of the bunk beds, the top bunk can get a bit warm, so you'll need to leave the little built-in "window" open for ventilation. Also, the showerheads are mounted incredibly high—probably over 2 meters up! It might be a bit of a stretch to reach if you're a shorter girl

Hostel is in a good central location. Staff was very friendly. Good comunal areas and kitchen. Breakfast was included. My bed in the 4-bed room was comfortable. It had its own light, power outlet and curtain for privacy. I had a good size locker in the room. Shsred bathroom and showers were clean. Toilet area was small, though. Linens were provided but not towel. Towel was €2 with €8 deposit when I asked at reception. The hostel has good vibe and I was able to connect with other travelers.

The location, a/c, and staff Just a little dated

The central location can't be beat, especially for the affordable price. All of the staff I spoke to over the 4 days I stayed were super friendly and welcoming (thank you!). I stayed in a Female-only 4-bed dorm, and the room was a good size - enough space for us to move around. I especially liked the thoughtful design of the bunks and the showers: each bunk bed is almost like a "capsule" in that they are enclosed on all sides, and the opening is a black-out curtain (so you can have your light on, or your roommates can wake up early, and no one is disturbed) ... and also has a cubby with a light and several outlets inside. Bathrooms — plenty of toilets and showers on each floor so I never had to wait! And the shower stalls each have a tiny room with a bench and hooks, so you can easily bring your stuff and clothes. FUN STUFF: the roof deck is amazing, and the common area is spacious, also a full kitchen. REALLY APPRECIATED: Great security, 24 hour staff, and the luggage room has a lock that only the staff can open (such a relief!) — Thanks so much! — Recommend 100% My only teeny tiny request would be to have at least one loaf of gluten-free bread available at breakfast. There was cereal (oats & corn flakes) that I could eat, but I would have loved to make toasty cheese sandwich :) ALSO: Some hard boiled eggs would be an excellent addition (for protein, for people who don't eat meat). -1 for the bed comfort because only one pillow that was a bit flat. (Mattress was cozy, though!)

Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy check in out. Breakfast included. Tour options. Sparkly clean. Squeaky floor and doors

I can't tell...

Cosy bed, felt very safe as a solo traveller and the rooftop area is beautiful!

Staff was helpful and friendly. Sheets were already on the beds. Privacy curtains around the beds. Nice touches in the shared spaces. Outlets and shelves by the beds, lighting too. Showers had hooks and shelves to put clothes on. On a busy street, so if the windows are open at night you can hear the noise from the road.

Great location, clean, privacy curtains, secure lockers, comfy beds, decent showers. Great common space and kitchen, variety of items for breakfast, rooftop bar and activities. Grocery store and many restaurants and historical places near by. Staff were really helpful about getting started on the trail. Door to our dorm was too loud … squeaky.

Location, comfy beds, plenty of privacy

The room and bed are comfortable, spacious, and clean. Nice and friendly staff. Great kitchen and with all the utensils. I really have nothing much to complain, one of the best hostel i can say. The shower and toilet are not separated by gender, but i dont have any issues with it.

The location is ideal. in the heart of town but quiet in the room. Super comfy bed. Staff is great and the kitchen is well stocked. Reception/living area is very comfortable. Wifi strong throughout. No problem storing luggage before check-in and they were responsive via email. A little crowded in the room when packs are out. There is basically no privacy in co-ed bathroom. Such is the nature of hostels and shared space and for a short stay, I was fine.
