The people at the reception desk were really kind and helpful, the room was nice and clean. The schedules for showering. We like night walks but we had to head to the hostel early to take a shower before the curfew (23.00) and also, because the next morning we had trips before 6 am or flights so we couldn't take a shower in the morning (shower time starts at 7.00)

    beds are little squeaky

This was a nice location, in an old, squeaky, beautiful building. It was clean and offered everything you might need. They serve a small breakfast that is enough for a nice boost at the beginning of a day of exploring Porto. It was in the location I needed, but please note it is further from the city center, in a quiet, more residential area. The other guests were kind and so were the staff - always ready to answer your questions. There is a strict silence curfew after 22:30 which I think is a good thing especially since there are some pilgrims staying at the hostel, but the house is so old and squeaky it is hard to move around without making noice. Its more some small improvements> The house is so old and squeaky it is hard to move around without making noice and waking everyone up. I think it would benefit from having the common area in the kitchen open later than the 22:30 silent time curfew as it would offer a place to chill if you're not ready to head to bed, without bothering the other guests. It would be helpful for the top beds to have a small shelf to put your stuff and some plugs at that level.

The only thing I would say is the top bunk bed that I stayed in was a little squeaky when you moved. Thanks for a great stay!

Surprisingly good breakfast, very nice staff and awesome old building in the heart Porto. Our room had an acess to the garden. The garden itself is very relaxing and nice to have in the middle of busy city. Beds were not too comfortable and squeaky. But most of all it felt like there's a need for better cleaning. Both me and my wife got either bitten by some bugs or got some serious allergy.

I didn't stay long enough to like anything in particular. I arrived and although it seemed safe it felt restrictive and gray and it was in an area of Porto that didn't have much going on. It wasn't accessible. It also had very poor internet and the public spaces were closed at weird hours, making it impossible for me to work from the space. Also the owner manager kept insisting that the space "wasn't a prison" which started to feel really uncomfortable. I stayed for less than an hour and lost my deposit.

    Residents arriving after midnight

Ok for one night, free parking spaces available nearby. Shared bathroom is not bad. They asked for 3euro/person for city tourist tax, my mistake I didn’t check the booking confirmation because the city tax was already included in the booking. I don’t know if it’s a practice or not from their side. The staff is funny during the breakfast because they guard everything. If you read through the comments you will understand the one slice of bread joke ?.

I love the location, very close to the metro station, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very big and bright, they also have a nice terrace. Special kudos to Suzanna - who was very friendly, nice and helped us with all the questions. She is a soul of this place! Thank you!

There were a few problems at the beginning because the hostel has a few rules that I don't agree with, for example you have to leave your room every day between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. because it's being cleaned (I've been staying in hostels for 15 years and have never experienced this). Furthermore, the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. The staff member said this is on their website. But after repeated searches I couldn't find anything. The rules were only communicated to me after booking. Furthermore, you can't wait in the hostel until you can check in at 3 p.m. You have to leave the hostel. But I came along with rhese rules more and more as longer I stayed. Breakfast is fine and okay for the price. Kitchen well stocked. Room was very big with terrace. Despite this, I really enjoyed my stay, especially because of the manager, whose friendliness is truly out of this world. I would come back anytime because of her. She tries to make the impossible, possible for you. Thanks again

The staff and manager was exceptionally helpful and forthcoming - they agreed to stay past check in time because of our flight changes and later delayed flight, instead of asking to cancel last minute. Thank you!
