Central location, clean and comfy rooms, friendly and competent staff. Nothing.

Fantastic location, spacious and comfortable room overlooking the plaza and pleasant, helpful staff. We did not take breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. Plenty of good places to eat a short walk away from the hotel. If you can take the train to the Sao Bento station, the hotel is just across the Praca da Liberdade. There was some construction noise due to road repair outside the hotel but only between 0800-1600. There is no coffee maker in the room although there is a hot water kettle and Nescafe. Plenty of coffee shops a short walk away, though.

Rooms furnishings were fine and it was clean. There was construction right outside my window at night from Sunday 8/9/2026-8/10/2026. I was awakened at 0100am by loud banging/hammering into metal. I messaged the hotel staff and they offered to change rooms to the other side of the hotel for an extra 30 euros per night. Apparently, the two nearby construction sites have a permit allowing work 24/7. Many guests were awakened by the construction noise. One woman said it went on until 0300am and that she had recordings. What bothered me most was the lack of transparency. The hotel clearly knew that these construction sites had authorization to operate throughout the night. While there had been a general mention of construction on streets near the hotel, there was no warning that guests in certain rooms could be subjected to loud construction in the middle of the night. Had we known this in advance, we could have made an informed decision about whether to stay here or request a room away from the construction. I also question why rooms directly facing known 24-hour construction were being booked without specifically advising guests of the situation. Once guests were awakened by the nighttime construction, I believe the hotel should have relocated those affected without charging an additional nightly fee. The situation was particularly difficult because my daughter was suffering from a migraine that night and desperately needed rest. I met with the manager the following afternoon and arranged to change rooms. Unfortunately, changing hotels was not a realistic option at that point because my daughter was exhausted following her migraine. The hotel cannot control construction occurring outside its property, but it can control how honestly it communicates known conditions to guests and how it responds when those conditions substantially interfere with a guest’s ability to sleep.

We had corner balcony rooms - we needed more than 1 night! The staff was also wonderful. 24 hours availability and always so pleasant with requests.

A perfect stay while in Porto, close to all important attractions and the city centre. A perfect location for a trip to Porto. Staff was more than kind and helpful. Thank you all for such a lovely stay! Would definitely recommend and will come back as soon as I can. All was great.

Extremely well located. It was a beaatiful, bright corner room with large french doors. Nice city views.

Amazing location

Very good selection and very good quality of breakfast. Very helpful member of staff. Lovely breakfast room, including outside terrace and lovely views of the area. The only thing which could have improved the exceptional stay was to have some milk provided in the room. Other than that there was nothing at all we didn't like.
