Good location Some units' bathrooms have a large window facing the main street and the building opposite without good cover (See attached photo). Although Frosted Window Film was applied to the lower section of the bathroom window, the top part was left uncovered. As a result, people in the building across can still look down into my bathroom at an angle (from the attached photo, we can look up clearly to see the opposite building's window. So we used a towel to block the upper area). No curtain blocking the showing area - meaning the opposite building's higher floor can see through the upper portion of the window, directly to the shower area. When we looked back from the main street to the hotel, only 1 unit on each floor (the same unit) had the same issue. Good location, and we managed to block the window so we didn't change room. Still, something for the hotel to fix the issue.

Well, it wasn’t a complete dump and there was A/C, so that was nice You will not sleep here. The walls are paper thin. The street noise is constant. There are no amenities aside from a/c and a bathroom. For some reason the lights were out near my room on the third floor and I had to fiddle with my phones flashlight whenever I wanted to enter. I hated this place.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I had made two reservations and cancelled one of them, but the hotel mistakenly used the cancelled booking as the active reservation. I received no communication or information from the hotel about this issue in advance. Since there was no reception desk available when I arrived, I had to wait downstairs for almost an hour while trying to resolve the problem, which was a significant waste of my time. The room itself was extremely small, and the windows could not be opened. Because the booking issue was only resolved at the last minute, I was given what seemed to be the least comfortable room in the hotel. Overall, the lack of communication, poor handling of the reservation, and unsatisfactory room conditions made my stay unpleasant.

The location was good and it was very clean. The cleaning staff were very pleasant and helpful. I was well aware of it beforehand but didn’t enjoy that there is no concierge or security presence at all. Also, the bed and pillows were very hard.

Close to cafes and shops It’s old and photos were probably from 20 years ago. Bathroom was old - mold in grout. Shower had no curtains. Need paint job. AC was the only good thing.

  • Engine customer May 2026

No staff in the hotel to deal with them or discuss something, because the entry of the hotel was by access code.

Great location. Cool views. Ease of check-in. Water, tea and coffee (help yourself) stand. It was good. Good value for the $

The AC did not work so the room was extremely hot, the shower handle was broken

The bathroom feels like a cruise ship toilet, the walls are paper thin, and the room gets incredibly hot and you can’t control the temperature. There is no reception or person working there, so you don’t have anyone to ask questions to. Very disappointed in the whole experience.

Cleanliness, roominess, nice bathroom. Good location to catch Hop on Hop off buss & lots of restaurants & cafes nearby. Not enough bedside table space for 2 people. Would have liked some drawers for clothes & more hangers. Walls were thin & neighbours boisterous & loud at all times day & night. Didn’t receive the email for the door codes for several hours. Was on chat line two or 3 times . He gave me a code but it didn’t work. So that aspect was frustrating especially since we’d been travelling all day & night from Canada & we were exhausted.

The location The room is located on the ground floor. One of the room wall is common with the lobby's one. Some tourists weren't able to get access to their room, so they spent a lot of time in the lobby. There's an armchair next to the common wall with the room I stayed in. The second day, I came about 21.00 after being gone for 9-10 hours. Two young men were in the lobby when I came back, next to the armchair. They were talking for hours. A bit before midnight, I went there and asked one of them to be quiet. The cleaning ladies the same, talking and cleaning as there's a tea/coffee place with few tables and chairs. On the third day, it was rainy. I came back around 14.00. One lady was using her laptop and moving the chairs in the coffee place. Other tourists came, talked , and moved the chairs. The noise was so annoying. I went out after about 2 hours and talked with 3 tourists who told me that they were waiting for getting the code to get inside the room. They told me that they came not long ago. The room has big windows which can't be opened. The awful smell of the bathroom, not fresh air. There's the AC which must work continuously. I booked for 3 nights, so instead of giving me a room on a upper floor, I was given a horrible room. On Tuesday afternoon, I wrote the customer service. They said that it's legal not to be able to open the windows for getting fresh air. For security reasons, they must keep the windows closed. It's not correct as in Portugal, the law says that fresh air is needed. Same day, I went out late afternoon, came back about 23, found other 2 young men who were waiting to get the access code for the room as one wasn't able to do the check in. I asked them politely to move from the armchair and be quiet. They got me as they were waiting for long time to be able to get into the room. In front of the room, the tourist busses stop, so it's really noisy. They shouldn't have rooms on the ground floor there.
