The hotel is a truly a luxury experience and its location is hard to beat. Minutes away from everything in the main city. The Hotel is in a revamped palace and they have taken extra effort to conserve some of the heritage elements. The breakfast is lavish and worth relishing. The hotel staff and their hospitality is par excellence. When we booked, we booked a studio apartment. Just be aware that the studio apartment is across the street from the main hotel and the room we originally booked was nice and spacious but was on the ground floor and right by the street with very little natural light and no chance to keep the window opened. When we expressed our displeasure to the hotel staff they very graciously moved us to a room in the main hotel .

Old place with a lot of history Old place - too many staff providing little assistance. Needs a better manager.

It is a beautiful hotel - Great Location. Breakfast is good and lobby is beautiful but not many places to sit in lobby and socialize. Staff is super nice especially the front desk staff. The valet who parked our car was also very nice. The issue we had were the beds were so uncomfortable. They were hard as a rock. Also there were two of us not a couple so we wanted our own bed. When we made reservation we requested room with two beds. When we arrived it was one bed and they pulled them apart no problem but the small twin was so small and very hard. Also no sitting area to sit and watch TV as the TV was sideways to the bed not in front of the bed so very difficult to watch. Also were only given 2 small towels.

Everything! Location, room was large and well appointed. Breakfast was fantastic. Dinner at Blind restaurant was exquisite. The staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Bathroom needed better and brighter lighting with a bit more counter space.

This is yet another review that tells you to stop searching and stay at this hotel. It’s small and intimate with perfect service that makes you feel welcome. More importantly the staff treat you like a friend whom they care about and whether you are enjoying yourself. As stated in many other posts the breakfast is outstanding. The rooms are large and beautiful albeit with the quirky bathrooms. Nothing

This hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, breakfast is well thought out and offers lots of fresh options - I really enjoyed the green juice. But what I liked the most but was how a problem out their control was handled. The last full day of my stay the heating and AC system went down. And it happened that they needed to open the floor in front of my room. The guests were supposed to get a message that this work was going to be happening- but for some reason I didn't get a message. Jet leg had set in and I needed a nap. After some miscommunication, and when it became clear that the problem would take hours into the evening to finish the manager came to find me and understand what had transpired. I truly believe it's not what happens, but what management does in these situations that leaves a lasting impression. And Ricardo left a positive lasting impression. I highly recommend this hotel, and the next time I'm in Porto I will stay here again.- and I highly recommend room 19 in particular. Also try a mocha in the coffee and patisserie- you wont be sorry.

Torel Palace Porto is an exceptional property. The reception and restaurant staff were gracious and helpful. The property is in a lovely area - very walkable, with many nice restaurants nearby. Our room was comfortable, clean and very quiet. The breakfast was over the top delicious! The small restaurant/cafe on the mail level is charming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and would love to stay there again. nothing! It was perfect.
