Great location. We’ve got some insect bites where we slept.

They offered breakfast. We would have liked 2 family rooms and we booked a long way in advance. We noticed on the second day that the adjourning room which was vacant was a family room. Some in our party did not like using the double bunk room. Not sure how far in advance you needed to book to get what we wanted. No visible toilet downstairs near the kitchen. Would have saved going all the way back to our rooms.

The location, staff was friendly when present, room clean The price is too high for a hostel, especially considering the poor level of security and the lack of staff assistance. The reception simply sends guests to the room and tells them they can choose any bed or space they want, even when three out of the four beds are already occupied. They don’t assign beds or inform new guests which ones are already taken. This creates confusion and result in people claiming the same bed, which is completely avoidable. It happened to us during our stay. A basic bed assignment system or clear communication from the staff would solve this problem

The location is great! The staff are nice too. In the room of 4 I stayed in we had a bathroom + shower ensuite for just the 4 of us which I really appreciated. Everything was clean and tidy. I would stay again in a room for 4 people or less. The kitchen felt a little small for the number of people staying there, but perhaps I was just there at a busy time.

A great location, we had a lovely view, family room of 4, Clean and comfortable beds. Children running up and down floors at night time disturbed sleep. This went on for about 1 1/2 hours. The floors are laminate. Maybe children should be on the ground floor and not above? For everybody’s comfort?

We were easily able to find the hostel and checked in by a friendly, cheerful young lady. She helped us to put our bikes under cover. Our room was a family room upstairs and we had an amazing view, over Portree Bay. The en-suite room was comfortable and warm. Everything was clean and working, especially the kettle. A hot drink was required. After a good sleep, breakfast was a good selection of "continental" items. It was all great.
