A lovely hotel, understated with the emphasis on service in a superb location We stayed in a junior suite with a view over Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, very stylishly decorated, sympathetic to the 12th century building (not in a "corporate" style) extremely comfortable bed, fully stocked mini bar, large sitting room and dressing room, excellent room service. The bathroom was quite small and dated; clean and functional but definitely needs an upgrade with much better lighting The bar/restaurant/terrace was welcoming with super staff, all smiling and seemed genuinely happy to see us, they work as a well organised team with excellent leadership from the head waiters. The roof terrace bar did have great views but was full of "Instagrammers" etc, working at being seen, not an enjoyable experience all. The Black Angels speakeasy bar was fun, staffed by experienced friendly mixologists; again we were made to feel very welcome. We drove to Prague from the UK in our classic sports car, a special thank you to Adam who took good care of the car for us as part of the valet parking service If we return to Prague, we will definitely stay at the Hotel U Prince. We had an issue with breakfast on the first morning but this was very quickly addressed to our satisfaction by the lovely receptionist and duty manager

Absolutely the best location! Staff very helpful getting bags to our rooms and organising transport to the airport at the end of our stay.

Location was fabulous. Staff great.

We loved our stay at Hotel U Prince Prague because of the location, the helpful friendly staff, the great breakfasts, the comfortable furnishings. We really can’t think of anything to complain about and we would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Prague.

The hotel is literally on the same square as the clock tower. Can’t get any closer to the action than that. The hotel is nice. It has an old world feel to it – not super grand but also not super stuffy. The staff is very friendly and breakfast is included! Very nice breakfast by the way. This applies on people who booked the single room. The single room I had on the fifth floor (the the elevator doesn’t go to the fifth floor) is an extremely odd room. It is up in the attic, and the roof is tilted at a severe angle in the entrance of the room all the way to the main area of the room, which is quite small. This means for person as tall as I am 6 foot four that it’s impossible to stand up straight in that area. The angle of the roof is that slanted. It’s hard even to reach down to open the mini fridge or to use the place to store your wallet for the night a little stand. The same is true for the bathroom. When I got in the shower, I could not stand up straight without opening the window and sticking my head up. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it is true. People of average height will probably be fine. But tall people he is not a great situation.

The style of property was stunning in keeping with the old town beautiful. The service was awful not a 5 star quality you are paying for a stunning hotel in a fabulous location but awful service sadly. Negatives: Breakfast awful no fresh orange juice to get freshly squeezed you have to pay extra! No hot water for cup of tea the water given was tap hot water not from a kettle! Squashed into a small room for breakfast. Concierge- what a joke this is in respect of the tall blonde one not the dark haired (sorry didn’t get names) asked him a few questions related to places to go and he had no idea we wanted advice about getting to Kutná Hora and he just looked blank and could not help!! Luckily I had researched but we wanted advice. To wrap it up when looking at the bill they had the cheek to charge 200czk per night without even telling us it was on there. To be honest it isn’t a huge amount I know but the principle of not saying and you are paying up front for a tip when you don’t know if service is good. Positives: Absolutely stunning hotel beautiful decor great location we had a junior suite where we overlooked the astronomical clock. We had lunch in the hotel restaurant and food was delicious and service was great. The bar is also very atmospheric and worth going too. So despite my gripes the hotel is amazing but the 5 stars must have been given due to location not ability, service or hospitality.

Location was amazing and hotel was lovely. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was lovely with a lovely view but many areas had very short ceilings so the space couldn’t really be used. The bathroom didn’t have a shower and was very hard for a tall person to wash comfortably in. If we had known so much of the floor space would have ceilings too low to walk in, we would have selected a larger room.

Excellent location A little noise outside at night

Perfect location in the very center of the city, clean rooms and nice interior. Wonderful view from the room. There was a coffee machine in the room, and the coffee capsules, cream and tea were complimentary and refilled daily. The staff was very kind and attentive to all our requests - they arranged transfers from and to the airport for us, and they also made a reservation for us at the rooftop bar of the hotel which is very popular because of the view and people are waiting in line to get in. There was a paid minibar in the room, and the water was also for a charge. I would have appreciated if the water was complimentary. The bed was too soft for me, and I couldn't sleep well. My daughter slept well and found the bed comfortable, so I guess that is personal. What was offered for breakfast was good but it was the same every day and I would have appreciated a greater variety.

Perfect location for exploring Old Town. Food was mediocre, no air conditioning and tricky footing throughout this old property.
