Sir Toby's Hostel

Location was good. Stuff was good, but they should learn a bit more about helping in terms of parking for cars. The bathroom was clean. My room was smelling bad. During the night 4 am there was ongoing discussion in my room.

This place was perfect location as around the corner is lidl and a few cafés + on same road has a bank in case I needed to change my notes. The area was quiet and it was only 5mins walk to take a tram to the inner city. The room I stayed in was all girls and we had a shower and toilet just for us. The breakfast was the same each day + hot food was beans or chips but overall a limited breakfast....at least they had a toaster and some chopped veg as well as sliced meat and cheese...I think an option to offer flapjacks or cereal bars would be a good idea I tried the croissant but it was really dry so I stuck to having waffles for the morning but next time I will go lidl for pastries.

bathrooms cleaned everyday, safe and nice staff, good facilities room was very cramped- we booked a 12 person room for 9 of us and it was still a tight squeeze. no air con either

The staff was nice, very friendly. I check in at 12 Amanda it was pretty quick. Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was very disappointing, mainly because of the cleanliness and the way the situation was handled. The room was not properly cleaned when I arrived. There was visible dust on the floor and hair left from previous guests. The fan in the room was very old and dirty and barely worked, even at the highest setting. There were also very few power sockets, and the ones available were old. The bathroom was relatively clean overall, but there was still a noticeable amount of dust on the pipes and radiators. The worst part happened on the second day of my stay, when I found fleas in my bed. After that, I went to reception and asked for a refund because I did not feel comfortable staying there any longer. I had paid 4,500 CZK in total, but I was refunded only 1,500 CZK. I was told that because check-out was at 11:00 and I reported the problem later in the day, they could only refund me for one night. I was also told that the flea had probably come in from outside, which I found difficult to accept as an explanation, especially since my room was on the second floor. I understand that hostel accommodation can be basic, and I did not expect luxury. However, basic cleanliness, properly functioning equipment, and a bed free from fleas are reasonable expectations for any accommodation. Overall, I was particularly disappointed with how the flea issue was handled and with receiving only a partial refund despite having to leave because of the condition of the room.

Well maintained and exceptionally clean, this place offers excellent value for money, both dorms and privates are a great experience. The spacious downstairs common area is perfect for relaxing and meeting other guests. I've stayed here before, and I'll definitely be staying here again. It's about 2-3ish kilometres outside the centre but either tram or metro fixes this problem instantly. Or if you find someone to travel with it's a lovely walk so it turns into no problem.

Great communal breakfast experience! It’s simple—mostly toast, cereal, fruit, and coffee—but it’s plentiful, and a fantastic way to meet other travelers before heading out for the day. Perfect fuel to kick off a busy morning. 10/10 Nada

It was really nice ! Just the shower was a bit small and also a bit complicated to put all my clean clothes but it was okay !
