The large fan was good because there was no air conditioning. The staff members were very nice. The breakfast was amazing!! The room did not look anything like the pictures. It’s a very very old building and the pictures looked like it was a fairly new place. The fire alarm went off for five minutes and we have no idea if we needed to leave or not. They had a parking lot for us away from the property and in the morning we could not exit. The arm was broken on the gate and they said they would not be able to come for at least 3 to 4 hours to fix it.

The staff were excellent — extremely friendly, helpful and always willing to assist us. Definitely the best part of the hotel. The hotel and rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the location was convenient. It is not right in the very centre of the Old Town, but we could easily walk to all the main places we wanted to visit. The biggest issue by far was the lack of air conditioning. We stayed in August and the rooms were extremely hot. A fan was provided, but it simply isn’t a substitute for AC, especially considering we paid around €700 for our stay. The rooms are rather small, and our bathtub had no shower screen or curtain, so the bathroom floor got wet every time we showered. There is only one lift for four floors, and it was out of order for several hours. When we arrived, there were not enough key cards available, so during the first day someone from reception had to come upstairs to open our room. The following day we received only one card per room. Free parking is offered, but it is more than 500 metres from the hotel and is essentially an open, unpaved area rather than a proper car park.

The staff was great. Very helpful, we really felt looked after!

The hotel has a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent, with a good selection of food. However, the biggest disappointment is that a 4-star hotel has no air conditioning. During the summer months, this is a serious problem. The room was extremely hot and uncomfortable, and sleeping was very difficult. For a hotel of this category, I really think air conditioning should be standard. Overall, I would give the hotel 7/10 – mainly because of the location, friendly staff and very good breakfast, but the lack of air conditioning significantly affected our stay.

The location is nice, allowing you to experience the city highlights easily by feed. The staff was very helpful and friendly, supporting in various topics. Unfortunately, the hotel did not had any air conditioning. The hotel offered ventilators, but this did not provide much of relief for the ongoing heatwave.
