We had a great stay at Grecotel Kos. What we appreciated most was the all-inclusive, hassle-free mindset, once you check in, you genuinely don't have to think about anything, which is exactly what we wanted from this holiday. The pools are large and well maintained, and the beach is kept very clean. The food selection was another highlight: plenty of choice and variety throughout our stay, so we never got bored of the options. The communal areas were clean. Overall, a comfortable, well-run resort that delivers on the all-inclusive promise. We'd happily return. Our room experience didn't match the same standard. We stayed in one of the buildings closer to the main road, furthest from the beach and pools. The route to our room, up the lift and along the outside walkway on the second floor was dusty/ sandy and fallen leafs on the floor, and didn't give a 5star impression. Baby cots were left standing here and there along the way, which should have been stowed away. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom felt a bit outdated, and our balcony was dusty with bird droppings in several spots. The wooden railing needs maintenance, it was a bit flexible and i didn't trust my son to lean on it. The path to the rooms could be made much more attractive and kept spotless, this is definitely a point of improvement. With the same attention given to the communal areas applied to the room blocks, this would be a true 5 star experience.

Buffet was great. There were multiple pools for swim/play/rest etc... The staff was very helpful, always smiling and helpful.

    - Main buffet restaurant was good (good quality food and good overall selection) - grounds are well kept and overall nice decor (excluding the rooms) - beach is very serene (pebbley) - some of the staff are very good - checkin took ages (they also forgot the refreshments they said they would send over) - not ideal after arriving after a long flight with a young child - we booked a premium sea front 'Bungalow' room whereas the room we got was on the first floor with no garden (and no space to walk between bed and cot). When discussing with front desk we were told that this is the category that Grecotel deem as a bungalow room. - room was tatty (taped wires, wood decking on balcony splintering, stained upholstery, bathrooms v dated, synthetic pillows) - ants in room everywhere (got into clothes and toiletry bags) - there is no aircon in any area of the hotel apart from rooms (in the middle of a August heatwave this was unbearable), there is not even one restaurant for lunch with ac - they say that there are kids snacks available all day but there are very limited choices at specific times - the staff are not trained enough to know where the kids snacks are (we asked 4 different people who did not know and in the end were sent to reception who sent us to the kids club where they had apples and bananas and some stale danish pastries) - the kids club space is pretty poor for a 5 star hotel - one of the worst features is the ridiculous practice of reserving pool beds, at 8am almost all the beds had towels on them every day. The hotel really needs to take a look at this as its a real issue. - pool towels didn't feel clean and sometimes were damp upon collection

The welcoming check in by the front desk team went beyond our expectations , friendly staff , beautiful front beach , all services are available , I loved the spa experience , very clean and comfortable atmosphere . Housekeeping staff are noisy talking loud in the morning outside our room .

The views and accommodations and wonderful staff! The lobby is a little warm when there’s no breeze.

Photos are definitely deceiving and the hotel is not a 5 stars hotel I expected it to be much better . I didn’t like that they charge people for a small bottle of water . Pools are dirty The hotel is very boring, no activities not even music at the pool . No night programs and it’s really boring for couples and for kids as well

charged 5 euro per cup of coffee. refills another 5 for small cup. an example of absurd prices. i expect to pay more at luxury place, but not like that. the beach crowded and not inviting. dinner unappealing so taxi to town every night for good food. the room small; the place should have shuttle to town. instead charge more than a taxi. the price of coffee etc. could easly spend 40 euro is like coffee

The property is beautiful. The rooms with view on the pool are extremely comfortable with everything a few steps away: pool, restaurants and beach. The buffet is one of the best I’ve seen, with good quality food and great variety. The bed was on the soft side, and I personally like a more firm bed, so I found it a bit uncomfortable for a stay of over a week.

Everything was almost perfect. Kids had fun Landscape is amazing Sea and thr beach as well The only thing could be lmproved was the food actually. Absolutely not bad at all. But more tasty, other than that meat and veggies selections could be added. Bu other than that nothing to say amazing

Very clean, beautiful landscaping, great breakfast, very friendly staff, pools nice and beach access. Food prices in restaurants somewhat high. One of our TVs was not working and from the time we alerted reception to the day we left, 3 days later it still wasn’t fixed.

Service, spacious, great They should avoid cutting the grass in the morning while guests might be sleeping

There was no Wi-Fi reception in the room. I had to move to the main building to have a connection. Even there, at times, it did drop. Also, the requirement for any restaurant to make a reservation wasn't appropriately explained to me when I checked in. You cannot walk into a restaurant and sit down and order a meal.

Excellent position, spacious resort, great food covering all the tastes, very clean, you can also use beach instead of the pool and friendly&kind staff. Didn't receive a simbolic attention for my birthday. Thank God for my wife?

The terrace and the large rooms Not good quality food. I booked it thinking it was a luxury hotel and arrived and found out it was all inclusive. Not my vibe and standard of food. Spa was also rude and below average massage

    Very good

  • Engine customer Aug 2024

The hotel and the facility were nice. the staff was great as written in the comments. the food options were also sufficient for me. I would like to especially thank Angela, the lady working in the dining room, and the other female employee whose name I cannot remember, and the reception staff. The pool was also satisfactorily good. The beach was very small, but the sea was very nice and clean. It was not possible to find a place on the sunbeds by the pool because they left towels early in the morning. It was especially hot in the dining room because they did not run air conditioning in their indoor areas.
