Close to the beach. Staff was very helpful and they made up the rooms quickly. Breakfast was okay but not great. After the first day, we went across the street instead.

Excruciating loud music through the night from restaurants & bars next door

Excellent location when hanging out in Zicatela. Traveling around from there is a breeze. Hotel's high points are its location and spectacular views from the upper floors. Staff are excellent and always available to help. A few minor additions to the room amenities would have been nice, but lack thereof certainly didn't diminish the pleasure of our stay.

The beds are not comfortable enough.

We stayed in a top floor corner room with fantastic views. Bedroom was glass enclosed with blackout curtains and air-conditioning. 2 queen beds were very comfortable though a little shorter than we expected. There were one and a half bathrooms. The shower was large. The living room & dining room area had a large hammock and table with four comfortable chairs. This area was all open air with gorgeous views of the beach ocean. The small kitchen area includes a small refrigerator, microwave, 10 cup coffee maker, and a small bottle of water per person per day. However, there were only 2 coffee mugs and coffee packets that brewed just two cups. There were no other kitchen items. It would have been nice to four plates, cups, and flatware. The restaurant also has an ocean view and is open air. The breakfast was included and it was good. Instead of toast it would be nice to have Mexican pan. They seem to be making upgrades and the property has so much potential. They need to update their website because it lists many services that would be great, but are not available and they don’t know when or if they will be in the future. Maybe the hotel could lease space for services including event space, cooking classes, yoga classes and pool service! A full restaurant and bar would also be a big improvement.

It’s clean. And bring me memories of when I was ver young and I used to go there. David the staff in the night is very rude. The staff in the day are really nice. Very very very noisy, couldn’t sleep, they end the music until 6:30 am, not staying there again! Puerto Escondido has changed a lot and not in a good way. Better go to Mazunte, san agustinillo or other places around.

Love the design of the hotel There is an open air rave next to the hotel that plays LOUD music all night long. Would have been miserable if I stayed there more than one night. Would not recommend solely based on the noise situation.

Great location and really beautiful property Night club across the street played ridiculously loud music with unbelievably heavy bass. It shook the entire room until 3:30am. Not the property’s fault but glad we only booked one night.

This property has so much potential -- the grounds are very nice, the pool is big and well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Most of the staff are kind and helpful. The hotel is also located at a convenient spot on Zicatela beach. However, there are several issues -- some within the hotel's control, others without -- that made staying here less than an ideal or relaxing experience. The biggest problem at this hotel is noise. There is a big disco/club right across the street, Bestia, that plays deafening electronic dance music until 3-4 a.m. I stayed Fri-Wed, and the only nights that were quiet were Monday and Tuesday. The hotel has a sign up at the reception (Spanish only) letting guests know about the noise in case they want to find another place to stay, but you can't imagine how loud it is without experiencing it. I was at the top of the complex, wore earplugs, and was still unable to sleep. I would never stay here again for this reason alone. According to hotel staff, it is a problem with all hotels along the main road because there are no noise ordinances in place. Other issues: The basic breakfast was so bad that I stopped taking it after the second morning (e.g., the coffee was terrible and the second day everything was so over-salted I could not finish it). On my arrival, the reception could not find the key for my room, so they put me in a different room. The person at reception tried to convince me that it was the same type of room, but the pictures on the Booking.com reservation showed otherwise. I was moved to the room I reserved the next day, but the hotel should simply have apologized and refunded the difference rather than trying to convince me that this smaller room was the same.

The beach is very accessible from the hotel, but unfortunately there is a nightclub right across the street that will likely keep you up until 4am. To the hotel's credit, they are very forthcoming about this at check-in. The noise from the nightclub in addition to the need to wear a wrist band to come back and forth.

Location was probably the best part of the stay. Staff was okay. No true complaints. They just never seemed to be available, especially in the front desk. Also there are no irons or hair dryers in the rooms. You can borrow them but return after use.

Lovely gardens, ocean view from your balcony, right across the road from the beach. Beautiful pool. Many restaurants and stores close by. Good breakfast included Supply of hot water was sporadic. Nightclub across the road was very noisy until 3am

There are mosquitoes in the rooms. We ended buying bug spray to get rid of them. But every day when they come to clean the room more mosquitoes get in. The biggest problem with this hotel is the extremely loud music from the night club across the street. This is not the hotel's fault but it is extremely loud, it will be loud from 9pm to 3am every night. This is the loudest room I have ever stayed at, it is so loud you need to raise your voice inside the room to talk to other people. The electricity went out during the day and when I asked the hotel, they said they were doing maintenance and it would be out for another two hours. I little bit of a heads up would go a long way. The restaurant seems to be closed. They give you towels for the pool but you cannot take them to the beach. So, if you need to go to the beach you need to buy your own towels (?). It is ok for a short stay, I might or might not comeback or just try another hotel in the same area. I wish they would also have fans (ceiling or floor) in addition to the AC. Not a deal breaker but the water pressure in the shower is very low.
