Nomad's Backpackers features one of the best locations in Queenstown, located in the heart of the town center, a 328 feet from the stunning Lake Whakatipu. Nomads Queenstown offers a variety of room types, from small and large dormitories to Private King rooms with en-suite. Many of the rooms have balconies with picturesque views of Lake Whakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range. There is an onsite cinema room, sauna and common area complete with smart TV, pool table, foosball table and vending machine. Guests can sample some of Otago’s finest wines or dabble in adrenaline, our onsite information desk will be able to book and organize a range of activities. As we are located in the heart of Queenstown one side of our property backs onto a popular social street (Searle Lane). Due to this we do experience noise from local bars especially over the weekend so please contact us directly if you are a lighter sleeper and we will do our best to allocate you to a room on the Church Street side of our property which is quieter. We also have free ear plugs available at our 24-hour reception if required. Please note that although the majority of our rooms have balconies, there is a small amount which face onto the laneway and only have a window. Really enjoyed my stay here! Great atmosphere, perfect location and a really nice place to meet people. A special shoutout to Rachel at reception — she was super friendly, helpful and welcoming. She definitely made my stay even better! ✨

Right in the middle of the town Super noisy from the club n bar, I stayed on top level but I can hear rain drop on the metal roof? no power point or usb right next to my bed. I use my 1meter usb cable n it barely reach my bed.

Super well located and friendly staff. We stayed in a 6-people female dorm with bathroom. The bathroom was a bit smelly. There is no big lockers or drawers to organize your belongings and there is no outlets in the beds.

Location, staff, and overall place. The rooms facing bars on street have never ending noise until 3 am in the morning, Even with ear plug, you loose sleep. The worst part is you don't know that when booking a non refundable room. You are sent a email after your booking about these issues.
