As always, the rooms were charming and I enjoy the garden-like setting, but the quality of the breakfasts wasn't as good as in years past. A full breakfast is no longer included in the room rate, which is disappointing. The staff, however, was top notch -- very welcoming and accommodating.

Everything Nothing

This is not a five-star hotel, I am sorry. The shower was good but the tap was broken and not working well. The bed was too firm to me. We had a room at the ground floor near the entrance and were awakened in the morning by people talking in the corridor. The breakfast was very basic, with additional food to be ordered extra. I am not saying the hotel is bad, I am just saying it is by no means five star.

Great staff relations. Beautiful facility and central location. Only one set of room keys.

Right downtown. Many patios and terrazas. Large room quite comfortable. A bit old fashioned but not surprising for location. Lovely little breakfast with lots of coffee. If you bring a car you will pay an extra 700 pesos to park a block away.

We stayed in a Luxury Queen Room which was accessed via a private outdoor staircase on the first floor. It looked out over Calle Jose Maria Pino Suarez which proved to be a quiet street. We had a Juliet balcony above the hotel entrance. The room was plenty big enough and had a really good bathroom with a wonderful view onto the private garden below. There was a large corridor between the bedroom and the bathroom. The hotel reception staff were wonderfully friendly, ditto the breakfast server. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good and allowed us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline's internet broadcasts. The garden complex was huge and we never saw anybody else in it. Indeed, the hotel was very quiet. There was a wonderful honesty bar in a garden room that we made use of in late afternoons and after retiring from dinners. The Tikua restaurant next door is very good. It was all perfect!

Very artistic hotel, close to the historical city center. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. Rooms & bathroom were large. Breakfast at the hotel was good & a very good value for everything you got. Nothing

Good location. Friendly staff. charming setting and decor. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Not well lit.

Stayed 4 nights, 2 mornings with hot shower; 2 mornings with cold showers. Would have preferred 4 mornings with hot showers. Airport transport ... requested pickup at airport, driver did not come into the terminal with a pad with my name or the hotel name, like most drivers and as I expected. After about 20 minutes of delay and communication, finally connected with the driver. Simple things to address.

Enchanting colonial architecture, eclectic decor Amazing service Management went above and beyond to provide an extra bed to one of our rooms When Booking .com misrepresented our accommodation

Fabulous Colonial Architecture Beautifully decorated with unique art and furnishings Absolutely loved the many lovely outdoor spaces. Service was absolutely amazing My reservations on Booking.com Did not match what I thought I reserved. We had a few unhappy travelers who had to share a king size bed. The management did the impossible to accommodate us. I am very grateful. Thank you

Location. Friendly staff on arrival and departure. The WiFi was only available if you stood at the door to the room or in the corridor outside!! We asked for a quiet room and got the room right on the street. Bed was too hard and when manager/owner was informed he was unhelpful.

Great location for walking. Everything was wonderful with our stay.

Very cozy We can’t think of anything! ?
-
The property was very cute and in a great location, but if you can’t walk a steep incline, this property is not for you! The street noise can be very loud if you are NOT in an inside room.

Location was great, very close to museums and great restaurants. Loved the fluffy towels and bath mat. While breakfast is not included,at attached restaurant, you did get a discount and it was delicious! This hotel needs some more sparkle. Room needs some refurbishing, perhaps polish the tile inside the rooms. Stairs and upstairs lobby furniture need replacing or refinishing refinishing. Place is a bit tired. Never got wifi to really work.

The hotel was very quaint, clean, and decorated in a modern, yet traditional way - so nice! The staff was exceptional - friendly and always willing to be of assistance. The location was great - within walking distance of most everything. The breakfasts were very, very good, and the service was excellent. The WiFi was spotty, at best, but it did not interrupt our stay at all. The water was only hot if you took a shower at night. I assume this is due to a smaller size water heater that gets more use during the day. The hotel was so charming that we gave allowances for this!
