If you are looking for a “not hotel” hotel in Raleigh, Guest House Raleigh is a good option. Clean and comfortable room, nice bathroom, quiet, and minutes walk from restaurants, convention center, etc. The amenities are basic - coffee in the room, basic breakfast stuff, and delicious cookies. After years of corporate travel, I prefer to stay where it feels more like staying in a home. Guest House Raleigh is that. Highly recommend

Super clean and quiet, great location and snacks / simple breakfast. Shared areas are comfortable and historically / authentic attractive. Has white noise generator for sleeping. Balcony is basically just a door to the shared backyard. No microwave or other appliances for guest use. Curtains and blinds don’t really block out all the light at night (or the morning, of course)

The Guest House is impeccably maintained and in a great location to experience downtown. There was plenty of off street free parking behind the home. Beds and rooms are very comfortable and there is complimentary items for breakfast in the kitchen.

This place was beautiful. What an incredible renovation. It has upscale hostel vibes where people actually said hello. This is one of the nicest places I have stayed and I have been all over the world and stayed in some nice accommodations.

Very unique property, garden was pretty, location was convenient. Coffee & fridge in room was a nice touch

The guest house is incredibly special. So beautiful — one of the nicest Airbnb like hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It was a tiny bit creepy for me because I’m pretty sure I was the only one in the house that night so I would caution solo travelers about that. But if you were going with a couple of friends, it would be perfection!

So cozy, quiet, quaint, and an awesome common area with delicious cookies, excellent coffee, and healthy yogurt.

Facility was lovely, location was outstanding, loved the outdoor and indoor facilities. The AC split unit had an unbelievably bright blue-white light that we could not manage to turn off. Plus, although it was quite cool in the room when we arrived and we didn't feel like we needed to adjust the temperature, overnight it became uncomfortably warm. Also, the pillows were like rocks.

Loved every bit of it. We felt very welcome at this beautiful location. Walking distance from a lot of places. Not applicable. We lived it.

We had a wonderful stay. We eat a light breakfast, and they had everything we needed (oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, a great tea selection) in the kitchen. We parked on the street in front, but there is also a free parking area behind the building, accessed through an alley. It is walking distance to the two squares downtown, and there are several restaurants in a restored warehouse just a block away. We would definitely stay there again if we’re ever in Raleigh.

A very comfortable home. Everything you need is there. The smell of the room when we first entered had a faint insect repellent scent - but my husband could not smell anything unpleasant.

This was a unique guest house that was completely remodeled from an older historical home. There was great attention to detail. Bed was very comfortable. Great shower. There was a bright and cheerful Zen-like feeling to the place. Many different kinds of teas, granolas, and yogurts were offered for breakfast in addition to fresh fruit; The house was only a few blocks from downtown Raleigh and Historic Oakwood. There was a glitch with the keyless entry to the Guest House when I first arrived. Supposedly I was to be sent the code to get in before arrival, but that didn't happen. I had to call to get the code. Once I got the code, everything went smoothly.

The house is adorable. I liked that I could selfcheck in and have access to coffee, little breakfast etc. the bed was very comfortable and close to downtown. The room was a bit humid even w a dehumidifier & with AC was still a bit warm . I loved the place and would stay again though I was a bit warm at night .
