Truly unique and satisfying. Totally different than all other Reno properties with garish lighting and ubiquitous slot machines. Note: no elevator and extremely tall ceilings in this 100 year old property so 3rd floor is like walking up 4 flights of stairs so must be ready for that if carrying large luggage.

It's lively, walkable to casinos and restaurants, and the space itself is beautiful. It's like staying in a hip/posh studio apartment close to everything. Had a great time, would definitely return!

This stay was a quick one-stop overnight on a biz/personal trip. The Jesse is a very small, boutique-style hotel in a restored building. Beautiful restoration with great attention to preserving the vintage character with exposed brick walls, worn flooring and upgrades capable with the style. 1 block from the casinos and across from the bus station sounds scary, but it was quiet, convenient and safe. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and can't recommend it enough. A little gem in downtown Reno.

The kiosk said that my room was not ready because it wasn't clean, and when I asked the restaurant employee about this, she didn't understand why I would think that even though I said that it's what the kiosk said. So the check-in system that replaces the receptionist doesn't even give you accurate information. In my room, there was a big window that opens right into the shower, and the blinds were broken, so I couldn't close them. I tried to call to ask for help with this and they were closed. I ran downstairs and was able to catch somebody as they were closing up, but typically they aren't available past 8 pm. You can text the customer service number and hope the owner answers, but there's no one on site. There's nothing in the room explaining how to get into the Wi-Fi so I called to get the information but I couldn't get through to anyone. I texted which took a while longer to get a response, definitely not instantaneous. I also had an issue with the AC and it took about 45 minutes to get that resolved. The guy who came to fix it said he was the owner and he was pretty abrupt and seemed annoyed to ev

Be aware before booking. Beautiful hotel, but two serious, significant issues travelers should know before booking The interiors here are genuinely stunning — this is one of the most aesthetically beautiful boutique hotels I’ve stayed in, and if that were the whole story, this would be a glowing review. Unfortunately, two significant issues make it unsuitable for many travelers, and neither is disclosed upfront: 1.) No elevator. This is a multi-story property with no elevator, which isn’t standard for a hotel in the U.S. and isn’t mentioned anywhere during booking. We found out only after checking in, at 11pm, when it was too late to make other plans. If you have mobility limitations, heavy luggage, or are traveling with bikes or bulky gear, this will be a real problem — carrying it up multiple flights is not optional. In addition there is no front desk or lobby. 2.) Location/parking safety. The hotel is about 1-2 blocks from a homeless shelter, and there is a consistent, visible presence of unhoused individuals in and around the parking lot. This is echoed in a number of other reviews, not just ours. If you’re driving a nice car or have belongings visible in your vehicle, or if you’d need to walk a dog early morning or late at night, be aware this is not safe. When we explained that the walk-up stairs weren’t workable for us (my husband has a physical limitation) and that we didn’t feel comfortable leaving our luxury car overnight, the hotel declined to offer any refund or partial refund, even though we had not even checked in yet and these were things we couldn’t have known in advance. We ended up booking another hotel at 11pm the same night. The property itself is lovely. But I’d strongly recommend calling ahead to ask specifically about elevator access and to get a clear picture of the immediate surroundings before you book…and I’d think twice about staying here if either of those two things matters to you.

The Room is spacious and clean with easy access to the Brewery district and the Row casinos. The hotel is pretty quiet and unassuming. There are ear plugs if the bus station gets too noisy but I haven't had an issue. The bed is super comfy and the shower and shampoos are amazing

Eclectic, great staff, great bar, very nice room and good location in up and coming (since a while) area of town. Great value for money. Loved it. Thanks. Jim.

Cute hotel, very comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. The housekeeping and restaurant/bar staff were phenomenal. Felt like I was in someone's home. Probably the stairs, unfortunately no elevator, but it is an older building so could be a challenge for some people.

Cute place. Good food and cocktails downstairs with a friendly staff. Close to The Alpine, but right next to the bus station, so it can be loud at night. Black out curtains help. Mini Split moisture was running down the wall, so that needs to be addressed, but overall, the location and room served our needs. Also, the bed was very comfortable. Would stay again.

Room was very nice and spacious, pretty decor and comfortable beds. Two warnings- there is no elevator, and some rooms are on the third floor and the rooms in the front of the building get a lot of street noise (because it’s Reno) and you’re not too far off the street. Overall, though, a great place to stay if you’re looking for non- casino accommodations that are still in the heart of downtown Reno.

One of the friendly staff from the restaurant tried to assist but it still didn’t work. Finally, one of the owners got us in. After climbing 2 long flights of stairs (42 steps total), we opened the door to a super cute, overly warm room. The AC was efforting all night but it never reached a comfortable level (was 95 degrees outside). The bed was very comfortable but the water pressure in the cool shower was meh at best. Overall, the building and room was very well done but they definitely have some kinks to work out to make the place run smoothly.

Really lovely room! Definitely need earplugs and the coffee downstairs is pretty mediocre
