Novotel RJ Porto Atlântico

The hotel block was great and the parking was easy and cheap. Breakfast was excellent and staff as well. The location is not the greatest but I didn't feel unsafe. For a travel stop the hotel was great. Room clearly needs a bit maintenance with broken trims. No door for the shower made a mess. Was also very disappointed that sofa bed didn't have pillows nor blanket. Due to late night I had to pick pillows myself at front desk but this was ok. Problem was no blanket at all and it was disappointing. Maybe this was due to being past midnight, but who knows...

The location is very good. The room should be better. Floor conditions and ac need to be revised.

I didn't love the shower. Water went all over the bathroom floor because the shower doesn't have a door that closes. You also had to pull down a curtain or you are showing in front of the whole room. It was nice and hot though and had good water pressure.

Only stayed for one night while traveling to another place in Rio. Main areas seemed clean. Breakfast was fine, not a huge variety but plenty. Quickly booked two rooms as we urgently needed to make a pitstop before traveling on. Unfortunately one of the rooms was above a bar with extremely loud music that was playing all evening and into the night. Had to watch something on my tablet with noise cancelling earphones until way after midnight otherwise the music was too loud. Asked for another room straight after checking but reception said they were fully booked. They should really invest in better noise canceling windows and curtains or only sell these rooms with a discount and a notice. Unfair to ask full price when you cant even enjoy the room in peace, but unfortunately that seems to be a running theme here in Brazil. Room was also very old and in need of a refurb. Door handle to bathroom hanging loose, toilet that kept flushing etc.

Conveniently located close to cruise ship, airport, and grocery store. But not many places to eat within walking distance. The front desk agent spoke English and was very professional.

Hotel very convenient for the bus station at 0130 am and the airport the following day. However the room was not prepared properly. There was no drinking glass etc in the bathroom and I had to go to reception to get one.

Facilities were great, very clean as organized The location - unless you’re there for work or to go to specify places, you don’t have any options nearby for lunch or dinner and the surroundings don’t really look safe.

The food was really good. I loved the pumpkin soup. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived. It was late and the bar was closed but the bartender returned and made me a caipirinha. Everyone was super friendly with my child and I. I would definitely stay here again if I came back. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about Novelto.

The was nice and good but far away from everything but this didn’t effect me because I was renting a vehicle Only the location rather than this it’s a perfect stay for us

Could only recommend for a night between flights. We arrived late and check in was quick. About the only positive thing I could say. Breakfast not up to Novotel standards. Slow to replenish. No toaster. Tried to order room service as we arrived late and were tired. No answer on the room service number and tried reception and no answer either so we went to bed hungry.
