No elevator, for some that could be an issue. Shower's great, I'd suggest going up a few seconds/minute on the timer.

All the staff is so kind and welcoming Rodrigo, Jordana and all the volunteers made my stay here unforgettable. The location of the hostel is perfect and it’s super social with lots and lots of activities everyday. I would definitely recommend The rooms are super humid and can kinda smell but there’s ac.

Location is unbeatable. Didn't have elevator and the bar is a bit expensive for a hostel..plus, it closes at 11pm. Unfortunately to get your stuff from under the bed lockers, makes a bit of noise and you end up disturbing others that are trying to rest.

I absolutely loved my stay at El Misti! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff made the experience even better. A special thank you to Effie and Eduardo, they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always made me feel welcome. They really went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

The staff and location are both excellent. Cristal, Paola, Effy, Rodrigo and all the others offer a welcoming and vibrant stay in the heart of Ipanema. I enjoyed the hostel bar, great food, drinks and vibes. The dorms, though not spacious, are well kept and equipped for a private and quiet stay. The hostel also offers many daily activities that got me in touch with some awesome people. As a solo traveler, this place is the best! No complaints. I had a 10/10 week here.
