The location is amazing, the staff is super friendly. Water and coffee are free. You don’t have curtains on the beds, so no privacy at all in the shared rooms

Facilities needed to be improved

The bed linen needs to be replaced, as it looks old, worn out and covered in fabric pills. Also there are no towels provided, but it wasn’t a big issue for me. Unfortunately, the biggest problem for me was the receptionist. I have never met such unprofessional staff. From the very beginning the Madam at reception was extremely rude, dismissive, and passive-aggressive, making me feel like I came to her home and was trying to live for free. She was rolling her eyes, interrupting me and speaking as if I was bothering her just by asking normal questions. I travel a lot (more than 50 countries) and have stayed in many hotels and apartments, and this is the first time I have experienced such treatment. Very mixed experience: the place itself is good, but the attitude of the female receptionist completely ruined it. The rest of the staff were amazing, friendly, hospitable and helpful, as it is supposed to be.

Stairs are narrow for a large luggage. Ac broke one night and we were literally in an oven in the room, it was fixed the next day only. The hostel needs a deep cleaning in rooms and bathro specially.

The front desk staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. Marta in particular was consistently upbeat, helpful, and attentive, and did her best to support guests throughout my stay. The staff experience and the accommodation experience felt completely disconnected. The dorm rooms were extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Although the rooms are advertised as having air conditioning, it was turned off every day at 8:00 a.m., including while guests were still sleeping. In a shared dorm of 8 people during peak summer heat, the only alternative provided was a single old floor fan. Due to the room layout, guests had to compete for airflow, making rest difficult. Paying over R$600 per night for a dorm room without access to air conditioning during the hottest part of the day felt unreasonable and misleading given the listing description. Wifi extremely unreliable. The bathrooms were very small, poorly ventilated, and consistently unclean during my stay. The lack of space and ventilation made using the shower uncomfortable - it was common to leave feeling overheated, with nowhere practical to place personal items like towels or toiletries. During my stay, I was required to switch rooms partway through. On the day of the switch, I was away from the hostel and had to cut a paid day trip short to return. When I arrived, my belongings had already been removed from the room and placed together in a garbage bag. While nothing was missing, this was uncomfortable and could have been handled more respectfully. Overall, although the staff were kind, the physical conditions of the rooms and bathrooms, combined with the air-conditioning policy and room change experience, made the stay exhausting rather than restorative. I normally avoid writing negative reviews, but I think it’s important for other travellers - especially those sensitive to heat, space, or sleep quality - to be aware of these conditions before booking.

People they have is the best N/A

I mean, I knew that I payed only for the location...but the bed in dorms ..smell of pillows..bathrooms were super tiny, with dirty packages of soap for 2 days...

When we checked out, our luggage couldn't be stored in a safe place, because "we were not guests anymore". Kitchen is very dirty

Excellent location , decent breakfast and nice staff .

Free breakfast is also a good bonus, so you don't need to look for a place to eat. The bathrooms and rooms were not clean. It can be problematic for many people. The dorms are quite small and only one bathroom in each floor is also not enough.

could use more cleaning at the toilets and shower places(and add a soap). shower was switching between cold and hot water every couple of seconds making shower not the greatest.

Great location. “Luana” at the front desk was incredibly rude. I brought a guest, which I was told was allowed by the owner, Luana tried her hardest to not allow me and my guest to shower in the private room I paid for
