Has pool I didn’t like property that much

Onsen facility was good. Quiet and secluded hotel. 10 walk to Arima Onsen - Mt. Rokko cable car. Old hotel but ok

The location is peaceful and within walking distance to Arima Onsen town. The breakfast was satisfying with both Japanese and Western options, and the hot spring baths were relaxing. The hotel feels a little dated, and some areas could use renovation. The staff’s English support was limited, which made communication a bit challenging.

It’s old and the swimming pool and onsen are worn out. And we have to pay extra for that very small swimming pool that looks like scary the tiles are broken. The room has cockroaches and the sliding doors are broken and it seems like a ghost is present no coffee shop or restaurant during the day. The buffet breakfast is expensive if you are not a rice person and for children.

Breakfast had a good variety of food to chose. The hotel is located on the hill so had a good excercise getting to there after our visit to town. The next day we walk from the hotel to town so it was much easier since we were walking down hill and at the bottom we called the hotel shuttle for pickup. The shuttle came very rapidly. It should be noted the whole town is on the slope of the mountain.

Even though it was an “onsen” it would still be nicer to have a shower in the room (not just the toilet). There was no transportation service from the train station to the hotel since we arrived at about 5:30 pm. Would be better to have the service available to at least when the last train arrived at Arimaonsen Station. Should advise guests that it’s not possible to walk to the hotel from the train station - the terrain is too steep.

Osen was fantastic and breakfast was excellent even during Covid restrictions. Easy walk to Arima Osen township, and good walking tracks all nearby.
