Aelius B&B by Roma Inn

The location was perfect. It is especially good if you are arriving and leaving by train. The building is near many beautiful and historic landmarks. There are also many nice restaurants very nearby. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and knew that there would be no reception. However, the property wouldn’t provide the entry instructions via the normal Booking.com message tool. Instead, they required the information to go through a 3rd party app, an account on their website, WhatsApp, or email. We didn’t want to set up a separate app, or provide our WhatsApp number, so we opted to manage our contact through email (not ideal). It took many emails back and forth to get information on how to enter the building. I wish the property would have used the Booking.com tools, as that would have been simpler and easier.

The location is right next to the main metro station and many bus stations. The room had a nice view, good lighting, was clean and kept clean by staff, also the bathroom was great.

Great staff, super helpful and accommodating. Noisy neighborhood if you are a light sleeper. Wasn’t too bad with windows latched.

This served as a "one night stay" as we made our way from Northern Italy to the airport early the next morning. Check in was easy and it's walkable from the train station. The room is on the small/modest side but the hot shower worked well and room was quiet at night.

I don't usually give 10 stars for a 3 star hotel, but Aelius deserves an excellent rating. The location is very convenient if you travel by train, literally 5 minutes from the station. At the same time, we had no problems in the area, the apartment is located in a building with a doorman and cameras, there are great restaurants around, where you can eat in the evening and walk home without worries. There is all kinds of convenient transport nearby, and we walked to the Colosseum (about 30 minutes) and other nearby attractions. The staff is extremely friendly and at the same time - unobtrusive. There is only someone in the apartment when needed, which made the stay for our family very comfortable, we had the apartment all to ourselves. Also, the communication before the trip and about some changes in our plans was excellent - the place provided us with an additional room for another family member and responded immediately to all arrival times of our large group. Thank you, dear people, for this responsiveness! The rooms are actually part of an apartment, with a small shared hallway where there is a coffee machine stocked with good coffee capsules. Our apartment faced the boulevard and yet it was quiet, very cool (even chilly at times, but there is air conditioning that can warm the room up in a few minutes). There are thick curtains and overall we slept very peacefully and pleasantly. Everywhere is very clean. There was tea, small sweets and Nescafe in the room, which were constantly replenished. Some of the bathrooms are small, but nevertheless comfortable enough and we did not feel any inconvenience. In our opinion, the place is excellent value for money. During our 3-day stay, we did not experience any inconvenience.

Location is just perfect for traveling, right next to Termini station, so also well connected with the airport. Surrounding are very nice and clean, little traffic and very quiet during the weekend. Staff very friendly and accurate in description and directions. Sound insulation between rooms is poor: if other guests don't pay attention, noise pass through walls and most of all door much more than usual (and definitely more than desirable), so comfort is greatly reduced. We have been waken up by guests next room at 7:15 AM on Sunday by little girl speaking (not crying, just speaking normal child voice), father coughing and, incredible to say, coffe machine in the corridor!
