The location was central and within walking distance of cafes, restaurants and boutiques. The Bell Man, Rashid, was the highlight of our stay. He went out of his way to ensure our family was taken care of, especially when the front desk staff (Ricardo) treated us rudely and disrespectfully. The DOM hotel front desk staff member, Ricardo, was the rudest and most disrespectful staff member I have ever encountered at any hotel - and I am genius level 3 at Booking, so I have stayed at a lot of hotels. He single-handedly almost ruined our vacation, if Rashid had not stepped in with some humanity, empathy, and courtesy. I made a mistake when I was booking and entered 1 adult and 1 child instead of 2 adults and one child. When we arrived to check in, we realized this mistake and Ricardo was completely inflexible and lacked empathy for our situation. He gave us only 2 options- leave the hotel and forfeit all 3 nights payment we had made or book another room that was not connected for double the cost, in addition to having either my son in a disconnected room (unsafe) or my husband separated from the family. Imagine arriving for a vacation you’ve been planning and this was the result. He had no empathy for how difficult both options would be for us and repeatedly made faces at us in disrespect. He offered no opportunity for us to pay extra to stay in our current room which had a king size bed and could actually fit 3 or bring in a rollaway bed. The options were - Pay double for your family to be separated or cancel and forfeit all 3 nights payment. It was horrible. This situation took 2 hours to resolve. He had us wait in the lobby for 2 hours with no solution until Rashid (the bell man) intervened with the Hotel Manager to come up with a creative solution. In addition to this, we had several issues with our hotel experience. It was NOT 5 stars. The room beside us had construction all day and they knew this and put us in a room with all day knocking and drilling until we complained. Everyday after we came back to the hotel, the room door would not shut. Every time housekeeping left our room, they left the door open. It would open without a key because it never actually shut because the mechanism was not working properly.

The staff was great
-
Staff were very friendly and tried to be very accommodating. The room was clean with high ceilings. Location is accessible to many central attractions. The hotel is located in a narrow street facing a station guarded by officers with machine guns. We covered our windows by curtains since the staff in the building across the street could view everything in our room. You could hear the street noise at night, although the street traffic at was relatively low at night time. The room furniture appeared dated, although clean. Streets in the Pantheon area surrounding the property are not very clean.

Good quiet location. Old building. New inside.

Their location was fabulous and centrally located by walking to all the major sites of interest. The ambiance of the DOM, displayed such historic and yet modern influences of Rome, and our room was spotless, crisp, and cozy! All the hotel staff were friendly and so helpful! We enjoyed our morning chats with Alexander, over a delicious breakfast buffet. Thank you, for a sensational stay in Rome. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dom Hotel in Rome. The hotel is located in a charming, quiet little neighborhood near the Tiber River, Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. We had a very spacious room, the king size bed was lovely and oh so comfortable. The room had all the comforts we needed, included large fluffy towels, a well stocked mini bar, safe, plenty of storage and a Nespresso coffee machine. The staff at the hotel were charming and so friendly, each and every one of them made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning, the cocktail bar in the evening and their lovely restaurant for dinner. The food was top notch, and delicious. The Dom has a lovely rooftop bar with great views of the city. The rooftop bar was not open during our stay (February) but it would be very fun to enjoy during the warmer months. We would absolutely come back to stay at the Dom Hotel again while in Rome, and recommend it highly to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, luxury stay in the eternal city. The bathroom could use more lighting, they were a bit dark and difficult to put on makeup in the mornings.

Lovely ambience, great location, staff excellent - indeed they were faultless. Happy, smiling, willing to help, warm welcome. Very little. The room is showing small amounts of wear and tare - the shower for example felt as though it might need looking at soon. But these are small points only.

Nothing that I don't like

Location and staff Room and bed comfort, room service
-
Basically everything: beautiful building and rooms, top quality amenities, impeccable service, perfect location. Since I need to write something, I’d add a coffee machine to the room.

Room bed and shower are okish

Wonderful Hotel in Rome
-
Location was fantastic. Breakfast was marginal. We rented a suit. It did not have a coffee maker, and water was charged. Most suits we rent include coffee makers and gratuitous room items, except alcohol.

The staff is amazing!

Nice place to stay…bathroom is very comfortable for two persons! Location is good to get to Vatican City and Colleseo on the same time! Pillows choice are so funny and sweet! Macarone cafe is just 50 miters from the hotel! Very tested and cheap for Rome! Price is absolutely incompatible! In Singapore you get 5* hotel of course for such amount! And there is almost nothing you pay €500 per night! Just a hotel as many as all in Rome!
