The staff said they upgraded us for extra 10 Eur but we ended up getting the same room we had paid for. The room was dusty and AC wasn’t cooling the room well enough. First time ever during hotel stay we lost electricity in the room because we charged both our phones together. The lift stopped working couple of times we were there too and also the bottles with bathroom supplies kept losing their nozzles ever time we tried to use them. Also the room and bathroom were both so cramped you had to sit sideways on the pot because it was so close to wall. The Tv also could not be connected to phone and had absolutely no English Channel whatsoever. Overall glad we booked it only for a day else it would have ruined the trip.

Clean, good location, good size room Minimal staff

We absolutely loved our room with the balcony. The junior suite was nice because it had a sliding door panel to separate the living area from the bedroom area. And the bathroom had a window that opened to the outside balcony to help eliminate steam from the shower. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we were able to walk from our hotel to the train station.

The location was very central to getting around to many of the major monuments & sites. Elevator made accessibility to room easier. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Hotel was extremely clean. The mattresses could be improved. They are very firm.

Receptionist Manuela was so welcoming

Comfortable beds and squeaky clean bathrooms I made a reservation for two rooms and they were on different floors of the building. One room paled in comparison to the other. I had hope for two equivalent rooms close to each other.

Clean, great location, great staff and great breakfast. N/A

The location here is nice, close to the metro station and takes around 10-15 mins walking from main train station. Usually I don’t write comment for hotel unless it’s terrible as hell. But the front desk lady Manuela is such a fabulous lady who is so energetic and helps to ensure everything is perfect. She’s also a great local guide by providing canteen and gelato suggestions. She worth a 5 star comment for sure!! Also, as I’ve checked in at new year eve, here’s free sparking wine in the room. They also provide detailed daily cleaning. I’ll definitely come back. *the lift here is old, you may need to wait during peak time

Clean, friendly, good value. Rooms understandably small. Bathrooms very adequate and supplied.

The hotel is clean, well-designed, and conveniently located in the heart of Rome. We were able to walk to all the main attractions. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

* Wonderful location - close to the train station, public transport and overall located in a nice neighborhood. * Staff (literally everyone I met) was friendly and helpful. * The room was spacious, clean, quiet and had absolutely everything I needed. * Great price / value. * Charming interior - mix of old Italian style and modern elements. Nothing tbh

The staff was top notch. They were extremely welcoming when we arrived hours before check-in to leave our luggage. The room was well decorated and maintained. The location was superb. The breakfast was excellent and the staff provided excellent service at breakfast. The mattress was VERY firm, but to my surprise I slept fine on it. The room had no heating (visited in the winter) other than a radiator in the bathroom. The room was mildly cold at times.

Everything Nothing at all.

This hotel is a complete scam. They never mentioned the city tax during booking or check-in, and only demanded extra money after my stay. That’s not just bad service — that’s straight-up dishonest. When I asked why this wasn’t disclosed earlier, they acted like it’s my fault for not knowing. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve stayed all over Italy and never been blindsided like this before. If you value transparency and respect, avoid this place. I’m reporting this as fraud. 0/10 experience — Britannia Hotel Rome is not trustworthy. NOTHING.

The location is perfect Also we are happy and grateful for the best service and the room upgrade because of birthday. All staff was very nice. They help us with the taxi all the time, with ordering flowers, with all small things that we needed. The room was clean and had good linen and soft pillows. Bathroom is big Rooms are not very big. But cozy.

I liked the fact that Hotel Britannia had a number of rooms in the lobby area where you could relax. The staff were bright and cheerful and extremely helpful! The room was clean and comfortable albeit a small space. I want to specifically mention the front desk person, Jorge! He was awesome, fun and very helpful! I rate Jorge a 10/10 !!!! He was very accommodating to us! I did not like the breakfast. It just seemed mediocre to me. Good food attracts me, but I would not return here because of this. The cappuccino was horrible - it was one of those machines and the milk tasted awful! I could totally taste that it was made out of dried milk! Nothing worse than this! When you dream about going to Italy and you know that they have good cappuccinos - and then you get that? It was so disappointing to the point that I did not even have any coffee in the morning, we left to have our cappuccino elsewhere.
