Ostello Bello is probably the best hostel chain I have ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman at reception was very kind and always ready to help, and Ella, the manager, was very responsive and helped with everything I needed. The bartender was also excellent and very welcoming. I really appreciated the free vegetables, fruit, coffee and tea. The rooftop terrace was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great, with lots of friendly people socializing. The only significant downside was the noise. The gatherings outside, especially around the ping-pong table, could be quite loud and sometimes made it difficult to sleep properly. They often continued past 11 PM. The hostel is very lively, which is great during the day, but it can be a little inconvenient at night.

One of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in so far! Truly a highlight to my trip, and the perfect stop for my first solo travel. Honestly made my trip that much better. Great place to meet new people from around the world. Lots of events to help you meet new friends. Family dinner hosted every night! Delicious, and highly recommend attending if you choose to stay here. Located right by the Colosseum and a short walk to Monti. Lots of places to relax here if you need a break from being on the go. Honestly spent more time taking it easy here than I want to admit. AC in the rooms was one of the biggest highlights as someone who did not adjust well to the European heat Washrooms were clean, staff friendly. All around great place! I never wanted to leave and will definitely be back here the next time I find myself in Rome No curtains or privacy in the beds. However this is common when staying in hostels, just a personal preference

The staff can be rude at times but it was whatever I went for the stay not the staff.

Close to the Colosseum and the Rome Centrale station. Roof top terrace was lovely. Felt like a safe area. Aircon worked and ensuite was clean. Kitchen was left very messy over night.

The staff was good. The private room could have had a better painting on the wall (it was scary). There was a bit of dust in the room that was flaring up my allergies but apart from that the location was good. Its a busy hostel/place so the service was not as prompt as you’d get in a hotel but it was good. But there was free pasta and vegetables in the kitchen that you could cook so liked that part. Service could have been slightly better. Room could have been cleaner.

Staff, location, price was great! Roommates... noisy, snoring. I might have gotten 90 minutes sleep at best. Should be standard question for all hostels... Do you snore? Like smoking, snoring should be prohibited - put them in their own room/space - or do it outside! Shower door wouldn't close.
