I was in Rome for work so location was key. It's in a lovely neighborhood, minutes from public transport and the Vatican. Plenty of shops, bakeries and gelaterias around. The bedroom was a good size, with high ceilings and private shower/toilet. Good temperature in the room. Rolling blinds for a good night's sleep. Simple but comfortable furniture for what I needed for my stay. The staff member Delyana responsive on whatsapp and very kind. It wasn't clean. Dust covered most of the furniture like bedside tables and bins. There were stains on the radiator and shelf. The bathroom had hair and dust. Bathroom drawers needed cleaning. I requested the room to be cleaned again which they did respond to immediately the next morning. I understand it's Rome and the prices are high, but for this price a night, proper cleaning should be expected. It's a converted apartment in a residential building. You enter a large kitchen/dining room area that is shared with other guests. It wasn't clean either. The fridge had food left but former guests. (I guessed this when I realised 3 out of the 4 nights I was on my own). While there was a dusty coffee machine, no coffee or pods. I would wash my dishes before using them. While not disgusting, the cleaning routines MUST be improved. It's not acceptable. I would say this is more like a upscale hostel with private rooms and shared kitchen/dining room than a B&B. No breakfast or food of any kind is offered, despite the pictures featuring muffins etc. I was barely there aside from sleeping so I didn't need more. However, be aware that if other's are staying there, it is shared facilities. I also had to do a bank transfer prior to arriving so my colleague could collect the key due to my late arrival. They stated it says so but I didn't see this and still don't. They accepted cash but I don't carry that amount of cash in this day and age. It wasn't a problem but just be aware that there's no reception on the premises so you pay cash or bank transfer.

The bed was comfy, pillows were absolutely terrible though. Kettle dirty, moldy milk on the bottom, didn't even work. Coffee machine broken and the drawers completely filthy with rubbish. All the utensils/plates/pans were dirty. They basically had everything you needed but nothing worked. Room had dust all over the bedside tables. Broken hooks on the curtains. Broken shower head. The air-conditioner has water leaking out the left side and is evident on the wall with major water streaks. On the room info where it shows the facilities, it seems that this accommodation has just selected absolute every option to make it seem like they have it, but this is a complete lie The staff during the day just sat at the table and didn't acknowledge you at all, not even a glance up at you or a hello. On the poster at the entrance the staff claim to speak English but the three staff members we spoke to did not speak much English if any.

I recently stayed at B&B Lumière Roma and had an outstanding experience. The location is perfect, especially for those wanting to visit the Vatican, as it's just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums. Additionally, the area is surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores, making it easy to find whatever you need nearby. The owner provided exceptional customer service—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. I truly felt well taken care of, and the hospitality exceeded my expectations. Overall, I couldn’t ask for more from this B&B. Highly recommended!

The location was good but not right in the centre. There was a strong smell coming from the bathroom. Also, the room smelled weird when we got in.
